Is it possible for my child to take geometry over the summer at a college?

I have 8 days left in the school year.About 60 percent of the people at my school take Algebra 1 while another 35 take Geometry and 5% Other.I would love to take Geometry online during the summer and go straight into Algebra II in 10th grade. My previous math history starts with fifth grade.I got a top 12% on my MAP math test after I was placed in normal math in 5th grade. They moved to the honors math class in 5th grade after seeing the results.I got an A on all of the tests we took and the score on the MAP test was the same.My middle school adventure begins in 6th grade.I assumed I was in the honors math class because I didn't know how honor classes work.I get an A in my math class and a top 5% on the MAP test in 6th grade.I didn't know what to do when I got to 7th grade, but I decided to not do anything.I get an A- and A in my math classes in 7th and 8th grade. We stopped taking the map test in 7th grade. In 8th grade, I had a top 9% on my MCA.I still don't know about the "Honors" and "Normal" math classes in middle school.I decided to stop caring after the first two weeks of the school year because I thought I should be in Geometry.I get a 100% in math when the first tri goes by.I slip to the first B I have ever gotten in my four years of math when the second tri goes by.I got a F-C in a month and took around three tests to get the B.I thought that last tri was a sign that I should start studying for my math test.Around 30 days left of school and about 60 days into third tri, I have an 85% in math.I panicked because I wanted to take Geometry over the summer and move onto the honors class in 10th grade.I decided to talk to a counselor instead of talking to my math teacher.I went to set up an appointment but they were all full. They asked me why I wanted to talk to my counselor and I asked if it was possible to take a math course over the summer and move onto the next level next year.I was told that this school did not offer that opportunity.I left the office sad.I wanted to take Geometry over the summer.People can talk to the counselor at lunch.I didn't like the idea of going up to them in the middle of the lunchroom helping people.I wait until the last day to go up there.I told the counselor that I wanted to take Geometry over the summer and go into Algebra II next year.He rejected the option when he saw that I had a B in my current trimester. He told me that a few kids from our school have taken Geometry over the summer and gotten A's, but no one has ever gotten a good grade from it.I just said "Ok" and left because I was running out of time.I have seen people who have taken Geometry over the summer who say it is easy but requires dedication.I have 8 days left in school and I am panicked. What should I do?I was thinking about going up to the office and asking if it was possible to take a Geometry test at the end of summer and if I pass it, I could move onto Algebra II in 10th grade.I hope someone will help me in the next few days.

P.S.I went too far into detail with my previous math years, but I just needed to get it out of my head.I am sure I made some mistakes, but I'm tiered. Please let me know if anyone is willing to help me.

It's very common in our district. My daughter took Geometry last summer and was going to take Calculus this summer but will take physics to free up time for another class she wants.Your parents may be able to back you up on this.

Getting your parents to speak to your math teacher is fine. That person knows more about your math abilities than your guidance counselor. If you take geometry this summer, you will need to take a placement test in the fall to prove you know the material.

It isn't necessarily dependent on taking Geometry. You don't need to know geometry to take it.If your school allows it, you could potentially take them both during your sophomore year.A friend of mine is taking AP Calculus BC next year.

Geometry is not a preferred subject for knowledge. It is possible that it is a required course sequence in the school district.Your GC can direct you to the online or summer course that would be accepted by your school if he or she knows the school and district requirement.Your GC would help you register for class next semester.

Do you know if I can change my math class? The schedules are supposed to be finalized by the 7th day of school.
