Is popcorn good for you if you have high blood sugar?

Popcorn is a food.When you have high blood sugar, it's not a good idea to eat all of the carbohydrate sources.

Almonds, walnuts, pecans, peanuts, lean meat, fish (no breading), cheese, salads, broccoli, green beans, and so on are some of the best choices when your sugar is elevated.

Until you get it under control, avoid breads, fruit, juice and pop, cereals, grains, rice, sugar, candy and potatoes.The South Beach Diet phase 2 is a good place to start.

Make sure you get a book that tells you the net carbs after subtracting fiber.When your blood sugar is up, this will help you determine which foods are best to eat.

You will have a better idea of which foods you need to avoid to keep things under control.

My consultant told me to stay away from popcorn as it is very high.It is bad when your blood sugars are high.Popcorn is bad if you have high blood sugar.
