It is easy to make and only requires two ingredients.A type of sticky tack that is traditionally used to stick objects together can also be used for making slime.Add liquid hand soap and blu tack to create stretchy slime.Adding food coloring, glitter, essential oils, or beads will make the basic recipe different.
Step 1: You can stretch one stick of tack for 5 minutes.
Kneading the tack makes it stretchier.Put the tack together into a ball by stretching it until it breaks.Continue until the tack feels warm and stretchy.If you don't have a name brand of sticky tack, use a non-name brand.The recipe makes a small amount of the substance.Simply double the recipe to make more slime.
Step 2: Liquid soap or shaving foam can be put into the tack.
The soap should be put in the centre of the tack.If your liquid soap isn't in a pump bottle, measure 1 ounce instead.Any type of liquid soap can be used in this recipe.If you don't have a liquid hand soap, use a runny hand lotion.
Step 3: The liquid soap should be put into the tack.
Knead the soap and tack together with your hands.Silicone spatulas can be used if you don't want to use your hands.
Step 4: If the slime isn't stretchy, add another pump of liquid hand soap.
If the slime feels dry, add liquid soap to make it squishy.You can use your hands to make the soap into the existing slime by squeezing it onto the top.If you don't like sticky slime, skip this step.You can store your slime in a container.The stretchy stuff usually lasts about 2 days.
Step 5: You can change the colour of your slime with a drop of food coloring.
Place one drop of food colouring into the middle of the slime and mix it in until it is an even colour.Adding another drop of food coloring will give the slime a darker colour.You can use a drop of dye if you don't have food coloring.The food coloring will mix with the existing blue colour if you are using traditional blu tack.To make green or purple slime, add yellow or red food coloring.
Step 6: To make it smell nice, add a drop of essential oil to the slime.
This is a great way to make something unique.Pick your favourite essential oil, add one drop into the middle of your slime, and mix it in to diffuse the scent.Purchase essential oils from a store.You don't need to use a lot of essential oils.
Step 7: To make it sparkle, sprinkle a little glitter over it.
You can use fine glitter or chunkier glitter to make your slime look metallic or confetti.Put a pinch of glitter over your slime and mix it up.To stop glitter from making a mess, sprinkle it on your slime outside or over the newspaper.
Step 8: You can add foam beads or sequins to give your slime an interesting texture.
It looks and feels different with different texture in your slime.Adding foam beads will make it feel squishy and glittery.Once you get the desired texture, add more foam beads or sequins.Try other small craft items, such as confetti or wobbly eyes.Small items can be a choking hazard, so keep it away from children.
