It's easy to make a radio show.

It isn't as hard to get your word out as you think.Making your ideas, personality and thoughts available to a large audience is an easy way to make your own podcasts.

Step 1: A theme for brainstorming.

Think about what you want your show to cover.You can either focus on one idea or cover a lot of topics.It can be a group of people.Let it evolve over time and stick to a few ideas in the beginning.

Step 2: A script can be created.

A script will help you stay on topic, make segment transitions smooth and keep you within a general time limit.A general outline of topics of discussion can be written.The majority of the time, the podcasts aim to hit a length of around an hour.

Step 3: You can find a place to record.

This should be a quiet place.Make sure you have enough room for everyone on your show.Sound panels can reduce background noise even more.

Step 4: Make a plan.

It's a good idea to make a schedule for how often new episodes will be released.This will help build an audience.The majority of the time, the podcasts have a weekly or bi-weekly run.

Step 5: Click on it.

There is a blue and white square on the far left side of your dock.

Step 6: You can click on applications.

There is an A icon on the side of the finder window.

Step 7: Click on the player you want to play.

This will be located in your applications window.Click the icon to open it.

Step 8: Click on it to listen to a new audio recording.

Clicking on the 'File' option will reveal the New Audio Recording option.

Step 9: Click the button if you want to make a record.

The red circle icon will record sound from the default microphone source as soon as you click it.If your computer has a built-in microphone, make sure you have a microphone plugged in and set as default.

Step 10: Click the Record button again to finish.

The audio file will be ready once you stop recording and click the icon again.

Step 11: Click on it to save it.

The 'Save As' option can be found on the top menu bar.If you want to name your file, click on a new window and choose a location.

Step 12: Click OK.

This will hold your file for later use.

Step 13: You can start by clicking on Start.

Clicking on this will open up the start menu, it is located at the bottom left with a windows icon.

Step 14: You can click on all the programs.

Clicking above the search bar will reveal a list of all the programs on your computer.

Step 15: Click on the folder you want to access.

To locate the accessories folder, use the scroll bar and click on it once.

Step 16: Click on it.

The microphone icon will open the sound recorder program.

Step 17: Recording can be done by clicking on the Start Recording button.

The red circle icon will record sound from the default microphone source as soon as you click it.If your computer has a built-in microphone, make sure you have a microphone plugged in and set as default.The button will change into a blue square and you will know it is recording.

Step 18: To stop the recording, click.

Clicking this will stop recording your file and open a new window to save it.

Step 19: You can choose a location and a filename.

You can find a location to store your file and type in a name next to it.

Step 20: Click to save.

It will be at the bottom of the window.Clicking save will save the file.

Step 21: Click to open it.

This can be found in your applications folder or on your desktop.

Step 22: Click on it.

This will be on the left side of the window.

Step 23: Click on the file to add it to the library.

Under the drop-down menu, this will be located.Clicking it will open a window to locate your file.

Step 24: Click on your file to find it.

Click on the location of your file to add it.You should see it in your library.

Step 25: Click on it.

Step 26: You can listen to it at soundcloud.com.

The address bar is located at the top of your browser window.Hit the enter key if you want to type inside the bar.

Step 27: Click on'sign in' or 'create account'.

The top right of the website is where this will be.Proceed to sign in if you create a new account or enter your login information.

Step 28: Click on the link.

Next to your profile icon is this.Clicking it will take you to a new screen.

Step 29: You can choose a file to upload.

This is located in the center of the page and will open a windows explorer window to find your file.

Step 30: Click on it.

If you want to locate your file, double click it.A new window will have tabs for basic info, Metadata and Permission.

Step 31: You have to fill in basic info.

The first tab is basic info.Here you can choose a title, give it tags and a cover photo.Adding tags will help your file appear more often in the search results.

Step 32: You need to select your permissions.

The Permissions tab will allow you to decide if you want your file to be public or private.

Step 33: Click to save.

When you are satisfied with your details, click on save at the bottom of the screen.This will show you a new window where you can confirm that it has been uploaded.

Step 34: You can get recording software.

Recording software can allow you to have more editing and production capabilities.You will be able to record directly onto the computer.Audacity is a free audio recording and editing platform that works well for beginners.Pro Tools is a high end audio production software.

Step 35: Purchase recording equipment.

The basics include microphones, a mixer, and headphones.A high sound quality and enhanced recording experience can be achieved with this equipment.You should look for microphones that plug into your computer.Have enough mics for your cast and guests.Control over individual audio channels and audio effects can be provided by a mixer.When you have a mixer, it's important that you listen to the adjustments it makes.Audio pops can occur when vowels are loud.Make sure your equipment is compatible with each other.

Step 36: Take care of your podcast.

A post production activity is listening to your podcast through an audio editing software and altering different aspects as you go.Remove slow or unnecessary parts and add related audio from other sources if you want your podcast to hit a certain time length.Audio levels should be at the right volumes throughout the recording.Sound effects and background music can be added.
