It's possible to make Chakalaka.

A relish dish consisting of tomatoes and beans, made with a spicy flavour, is called chakalaka in South Africa.When it's added as a side dish, a decent serving of bread, polenta, or rice can be added to it to make it a meal.It's quick and easy to make, perfect for those times when you get home tired or late and need a quick meal.There are versions that are suitable for vegetarians.It is traditional in South African families to modify it according to preference, so don't be afraid to try your own variations if you have a chance.

Step 1: Put the saucepan on the stove top.

Allow the oil to heat up over medium heat.

Step 2: The chopped onion, carrot, diced chilies and garlic were added.

There is a tip in the curry powder.The onion will turn soft after 5 minutes.It can stick and burn if you stir too much.

Step 3: Put the tomatoes in it.

Bring the mixture to the boil.Reduce the heat and then cook for 5 minutes.

Step 4: The baked beans can be added.

Step 5: Take out the heat.

Transfer to two bowls or plates.It is a good idea to serve warm with bread, polenta or rice.

Step 6: Place the large saucepan or pot on the stove.

Medium heat is what you should heat over.

For 1 to 2 minutes, cook until translucent.

Step 8: The spices can be added to the onion.

Adding the garlic, ginger, curry powder, and cayenne pepper is necessary.The leaves are stripped from the stem.It's on the medium heat and you have to stir it together for a minute.

Step 9: Add the diced bell peppers, sliced cabbage and thin carrot slices to the onions and spices.

To combine, stir.Stirring frequently will stop the ingredients from sticking to the saucepan.Don't add too much water.

Step 10: The baked beans should be put in the vegetable mixture.

Add the vegetable stock to the mix.For another 2 to 3 minutes, cook.

Step 11: Add seasonings to your liking.

If you want to add fresh cracked pepper and salt, you have to taste it first.

Step 12: Transfer the chakalaka to serving bowls or plates.

It's a good idea to serve it with bread or Pap.

Step 13: The saucepan should be placed on the stove top.

Add the oil to the heat.

Step 14: Add some onions.

Cook for about 8 minutes.If necessary, stir.

Step 15: Add garlic and ginger to the onions.

Stirring now and then, cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

Step 16: Add the barbecue seasoning.

Add the diced tomatoes and stir.

Step 17: To find out the flavour consistency, taste it.

To taste, add salt and pepper.

Step 18: You can finish by adding lemon juice.

The tomato can be softened by cooking the dish.

Step 19: The heat should be removed.

Transfer to a number of bowls or plates.You can serve it with bread, polenta or rice.
