The I-20 is the official document Kaplan gives to students who are going to study with us full-time.Students can apply for a student visa at the American Embassy.

You can see the application from Kaplan Medical. There is a list of documents required for an I-20.

Depending on whether students have submitted a complete application and how long it takes to get the required documents.Once we have all of the required documents and payment, the I-20 will be issued within 2 weeks. If you want to apply for a visa as soon as possible, please keep this in mind.

There are no specific deadlines for Kaplan. If you want to enter the US on an F-1 Visa, you need to pick a start date at least 2 months in the future.

The I-20 shows that a non- immigrant has been admitted to a U.S. school. The Designated School Official (DSO) at the school the student intends to study at is required by the U.S. Embassy/Consulate to apply for F-1 visa status.Once in the U.S., F-1 students must maintain a valid I-20 by studying full-time and communicate regularly with their DSO to ensure they maintain legal status.

If you need more time to complete your studies, you can speak to your DSO to see if you qualify for an extension.I-20 extensions require you to meet specific criteria. To ensure you meet your academic goals in a timely manner and complete your studies with Kaplan by the end date listed on your I-20, it is important that you pace yourself. Before your last day of study, all requests for I-20 extensions must be made to your DSO.If you request extensions after your last day of study, they will not be granted. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Before entering the U.S., you can request a change to your start date.As soon as you know about the change, please contact Kaplan to confirm your new start date.Kaplan will mail a revised I-20 to show your new study dates if the change is acceptable.Failure to notify Kaplan about these changes could cause problems at the Port of Entry and the U.S Embassy. You can't delay your start date once you enter the U.S.There are no exceptions to this policy.Payment in full may be required in order to change your start date. There are more details on the application.

You can change your location if you haven't received your F-1 visa.A new I-20 will be mailed to you from the new location if you contact Kaplan. You should not use your original I-20 at the U.S. Embassy or Port of Entry. If your visa has been issued, you can change locations, but you will need a new visa if you want to enter the U.S.If the names don't match, you may be denied entry to the U.S.Before traveling to the U.S., you should check with your local embassy to see if a new visa is required.

You are expected to visit the U.S. Embassy in the country where you hold citizenship. The country where you got your passport. If your country doesn't have a U.S. Embassy, you should contact the nearest one to see if they can accept your application for an F-1 visa. The US Department of State has a website where you can learn more about your local embassy.

A list of needed documents and all of the information relating to your visa appointment can be found here.

The wait time varies from country to country. You can see how long it takes at the website.

It is not possible for Kaplan to confirm how long your visa will be valid. You should confirm this information with your local U.S. Embassy/Consulate.

Kaplan cannot confirm the likelihood of approval because he does not issue visas. You should be aware that visa issuance is not guaranteed.

Before you leave the Embassy, you should ask the Consular Officer why your visa was denied. You can request the denial in writing.Kaplan can help you get your visa if the reason for denial was caused by a mistake on your I-20.Kaplan will not be able to assist you further if there is no reason or a different reason. There is little Kaplan can do to change the government's decision. If you want to study for the USMLE from anywhere, you can enroll in one of our online products.

If you don't report to the Kaplan Center by your start date, you will face problems at the Port of Entry. If you can't get to the Port of Entry before the start date, you should contact Kaplan and ask for a postponement.Kaplan will mail a revised I-20 at that time.

You need to show the Port of Entry Officer the following documents. You may be denied entry if the documents are incomplete or missing.

The Form I-94, "Arrival/Departure Record" shows the terms of your admission, legal status, length of time you may stay and expected departure date.To prove your legal visa status in the United States, you need a copy of your Form I-94.If you misplace your form and need a replacement, follow the steps below to get a copy.

Travelers who are missing documentation for entry to the U.S. are given a form called Form I-515A.You must ask the Port of Entry Officer what documentation you are missing if you get this form.Within 30 days after entry, you will have to submit that documentation to the government. You will have to leave the U.S. immediately if you don't meet this deadline. Please speak to the DSO at your Kaplan center if you are given this form.

It is required that you arrive at the Kaplan center before the start date listed on your I-20.If you don't meet this requirement, your I-20 will be terminated and you will have to leave the U.S. immediately. If you can't travel to the U.S before your start date, Kaplan will update your I-20 by postponing it.You won't be able to delay your start date if you have already entered the U.S.There are no exceptions to this rule.

You will need to start your program on one of the listed start dates. The document "Selecting Your Course Start Date" can be found here. Before you enter the US and begin your program, you need to apply for and receive your F-1 Student visa. You should contact Kaplan at least 3 months before your desired start date to begin the process.

I didn't write a start date on my application because I want to get a student visa as soon as possible. Is that right?

To process an application, we need a start date. You should have enough time for your visa to be processed and for you to find a place to stay.

We need to tell you on your I-20 that you are travelling with dependents.Provide us with their full names, a copy of their passport, their date of birth and relationship to you. There are more details on the application.

You risk falling out of legal status if you don't meet Kaplan's full-time study requirements.

Full-time study is the primary purpose for staying in the U.S. as an F-1 student. You shouldn't expect to work while studying with Kaplan. If you have more questions, they can be addressed to the D.S.O.Upon arrival, at your center.

If you are found to be working without government approval, your employment will be considered unauthorized.Immediately, your I-20 will be terminated in the student tracking system. If this happens, you will no longer be eligible to study with Kaplan and you must leave the U.S. immediately.
