Left Arm Facing Sectionals - What does left arm face mean?

The seat depth is called chaise.We call it a Right Arm Facing (RAF) sectional or simply a sectional facing right if you look directly at the sofa.On your left-hand side, there is the LAF sectional.

What is the meaning of right facing chaise?If you are standing facing a sectional, it is a right-hand facing chaise.The arm of the sofa is on the left side.

The side with the least amount of traffic is where the chaise should be.When a piece is labeled as right arm facing, it means the arm is on your right as you look at it.If a piece is labeled left arm facing, the arm is on your left as you look at it.

If the corner and short edge are to your right, the sofa is a right-hand sofa.If the corner and short edge are to your left, it is a left-hand sofa.
