She was already married when she met him and had two sons.She spent her childhood in a remote region learning about her family's traditions.She is a member of the Inupiaq tribe.It is difficult to say if she ever received a formal education.The formative years of her life taught her how to hunt and tan animals to use their body fat for oil and handicrafts.She knows how to use Ulu, an all-purpose knife, to tackle the difficulties posed by her hometown.The audience gets to see a completely different side of the world through her.

The viewers have been told that the two tied the knot in 1992.After 25 years of marriage, Chip and Agnes have five daughters.She has two sons from her previous marriage, Douglas and Jon, who Chip treats as his own.The Hailstones are providing for their children's proper education despite living life in its most traditional sense.Tinmiaq and Iriqtaq moved to a local school after being homeschooled.The children play sports.Recently blessed with a grand-daughter from their oldest girl, Chip and Agnes have lived a blissful life of friendship and mutual trust.The audience has watched the equation for more than seven years.
