I want to protect my fruit trees from Birds and Squirrels with a tree net.I plan to spread it over the Manilkara zapota tree.I had some good production this past month, but most of them were eaten up.I was going to apply the net over it because it still has a lot of fruit that is not ripe.

While I was standing under it yesterday, I saw that it still has a lot of flowers, which are needed for pollination.I think Netting would affect the bees from entering the tree to help in pollination.

One option I was considering was the one with a larger mesh size to allow bees through, but small enough for Squirrels and Birds.I wanted to ask the community how important the bees were for the fruits. Is it possible to proceed with nets without worrying about them.

It doesn't matter if a string from the net, a twig or something else is in the way for a bee.It will be a challenge to fly around.
