New Soap (Melt and Pour) can be made from Glycerine Soap Pieces.

If you regularly use glycerine soap, you can save all the leftover pieces and use the melt and pour soap process to make new soap. This process is easy and frugal, but it is also a home science and imagination exercise for the children to learn.

Step 1: Make sure the soap molds are ready for pouring.

You can place the newspaper underneath to catch spills.

Step 2: The soap pieces need to be gathered.

Use these if you've been storing used pieces for a while. If you don't, you'll need to cut up the soaps into cubes.

Step 3: The soap pieces or cubes should be placed in a microwave-proof bowl.

Place a double boiler over the stove top if you don't have a microwave oven.

Step 4: The bowl of soap should be placed in the microwave.

Microwave on high for 30 seconds. You can check to see how much has melted.Remove the microwave oven when it's fully melted.

Step 5: Adding colorant and fragrance oil to the soap will make it smell better.

Put a few drops of each into the solution.

Step 6: The soap solution should be poured into the molds.

Step 7: Rub alcohol into the bubbles to break them.

Step 8: Allow it to cool for 30 minutes to one hour.

As the soap cools, it will form a mold.

Step 9: The first layer of melted soap should be poured into the molds.

Rub alcohol on the surface to prevent bubbles.Cool for 3 to 5 minutes.

Step 10: Put a second layer of soap on top of the first layer.

It should be cool enough to not melt the first layer.Rub alcohol on the spray.

Step 11: Continue until you form the final layer.

Two layers is fine, or you could make three.

Step 12: A suitable item is what you should choose.

It needs to be small and non-toxic.A sponge shape is a child-safe soft toy.Ask at the craft store if soap designs are made for this purpose.

Step 13: Blue-tinted clear glycerine can be poured into a mold.

Rub alcohol on the spray.Cool for 30 seconds.

Step 14: Place your face down on a soft toy.

Again, spray with rubbing alcohol.

Step 15: Cool for 3 to 5 minutes.

If you want to add a colored background, leave it clear. It's done once cooled down.
