Password can be changed in Yahoo! Mail.

You can learn how to change your Yahoo Mail password in the mobile app.You can change a known password or reset a forgotten one.

Step 1: Click Difficulty signing in.

The sign-in section has a link in the lower-right corner.To get to the account recovery page, you have to do that.

Step 2: You can enter your Yahoo account's phone number.

You used to sign up for Yahoo with this phone number.If you have a recovery email address for Yahoo, you can enter it.If you're unsure of your recovery phone number, you can enter your Yahoo email address.

Step 3: Click Continue.

There is a blue button below the text box.

Step 4: Text me your account key.

There is a button at the top of the page.A code will be sent to your phone number.Click if you entered your recovery email address instead.You have to enter the missing numbers or letters from the recovery option if you entered your Yahoo email address.

Step 5: The account key needs to be retrieved.

Open your phone's Messages app, tap the message from Yahoo, and look for the 8-character code in the text message.You can open your recovery email inbox and select the email from Yahoo that you want to review the 8-character code in.

Step 6: The account key is what you need to enter.

There is a text box in the middle of the "Verify" page where you can type the Account Key code.

Step 7: You can click verify.

The text box is below it.If the code matches the one Yahoo sent to you, you'll be taken to the account selection page.

Step 8: You can select your account.

Click the account you want to change the password for.You will be entered into the account.You may not be required to do this if you only have one Yahoo account.

Step 9: Click to create a password.

It is at the bottom of the page.

Step 10: Your new password must be entered twice.

Go to the "New password" text box and type in your new password.You have to match the entries in order to proceed.The "Show password" box is where you can double-check your password.

Step 11: Click Continue.

There is a button at the bottom of the page.

Step 12: When prompted, click looks good.

If you do this, you will be able to confirm that your password change was successful.Clicking the grey link at the bottom of the prompt will add features to Yahoo.

Step 13: Yahoo Mail can be opened.

Go to the website in your browser.If you log into your Yahoo account, this will open your inbox.If you don't already have a password, enter your email address and click before continuing.

Step 14: You can click your name tab.

The upper-right side of the window has your name and profile picture on it.A menu will appear.

Step 15: Click Account Information.

The link is below your name in the menu.The Account page opens if you do that.

Step 16: Go to account security.

There is a tab on the left side of the page.

Step 17: Go back and enter your information.

Click if you want to type in your email address.You may not be prompted to log in again if you recently entered your Yahoo account.

Step 18: You can change your password by clicking the link.

It's on the right side of the page.This will lead you to the password creation page.You can click at the bottom of the pop-up window if you have Yahoo Account Key enabled.You can click on it.

Step 19: You should enter your new password twice.

Go to the "New password" text box and type in your new password.You have to match the entries in order to proceed.The "Show password" box is where you can double-check your password.

Step 20: Continue if you want.

There is a button at the bottom of the page.

Step 21: Click it and it will look good when prompted.

If you do this, you will be able to confirm that your password change was successful.Clicking the grey link at the bottom of the prompt will add features to Yahoo.

Step 22: It's possible to open Yahoo mail.

The Yahoo Mail app icon resembles a purple box.There is a white envelope on the mail.If you are a member of Yahoo, this will open your inbox.If you don't have a Yahoo Mail account, you can enter your email address, password, and tap at the bottom of the screen.If you can't remember your password, skip to the next method.You don't have to know the old password if you reset it from Yahoo Mail settings.

Step 23: You can tap.

The top left corner of the screen is where it is.You can open a pop-out menu by doing that.

Step 24: Use the tap to manage accounts.

The pop-out menu has this near it.The list of currently signed-in accounts will be opened.

Step 25: You can find your account name.

You can find the name of the account you want to change in the list of signed-in accounts.

Step 26: Go to Account info.

There is a link below the account's name that you can use to change its password.

Step 27: To change security settings, tap on it.

There is an option in the middle of the page.

Step 28: Your phone's Touch ID is required to enter.

Scan your Touch ID or enter your phone's password if prompted.You may not need to do this if you have a different type of phone.

Step 29: You can change the password by tapping it.

There is a link in the upper-right corner of the page.If you have enabled Yahoo Account Key, you'll be able to tap in the upper-right corner, tap at the bottom of the screen, and tap.You can tap.

Step 30: I'd rather change my password.

There is a link at the bottom of the page.The password creation page opens if you do that.If you didn't have to enter a password or Scan your Touch ID, you may need to tap a "I'm not a robot" option.

Step 31: A new password is required.

Re-type the password into the "New password" text field after you enter it.This makes sure you don't mistype your password.

Step 32: You can continue by pressing Continue.

There is a button at the bottom of the screen.Doing so immediately resets your Yahoo Mail password and returns you to the inbox page.If you use Yahoo's email services on the desktop, you'll need to sign back into your Yahoo account with a new password.

Step 33: You can open Yahoo Mail.

Step 34: Do you own a Yahoo account?

Step 35: Is it possible to tap Trouble signing in?

There is a blue link at the bottom of the screen.

Step 36: You can enter a number or email.

In the middle of the screen is a text box where you can type in your phone number or recovery email address.If you don't know what your recovery options are, you should enter the Yahoo email address you're trying to change.

Step 37: You can continue by tapping Continue.

There is a button in the middle of the page.You will be taken to a page with your phone number on it.

Step 38: Text me an account key if you want.

There is a button in the middle of the page.A text message will be sent to the phone number.You'll tap if you entered an email address.You have to enter the missing numbers or letters from the recovery option if you entered your Yahoo email address.

Step 39: Get the verification code.

The process will vary depending on whether you used your phone number or email address.You can open your recovery email inbox and select the email from Yahoo that you want to review the 8-character code in.

Step 40: The verification code is required to enter.

If you tap the text box in the middle of the Yahoo screen, you can type the code from the message.

Step 41: If you want to, tap verify.

There is a button at the bottom of the page.If the code matches the one sent to your phone, you can open your Yahoo Mail inbox.

Step 42: Your password can be changed.

You can change the password in the Yahoo Mail app without having to remember the old password.
