Sandbur, johnsongrass, and bahiagrass are some of the grasses that are controlled or suppressed by Pastora®.High value, weed-free bermudagrass can be grown with Pastora. The control of undesirable grasses and broadleaf weeds can lower the value of hay.The control leads to higher quality hay for horses and cattle.

Postemergence and residual control of broadleaf weeds are provided by Pastora®.

There are two active ingredients in Pastora herbicide.

For use in non-crop areas and rights-of-way, pastora is registered.Check with your state extension or Department of Agriculture to make sure Pastora is registered.

Pastora is a dry-flowable granule that is mixed in water and applied as a uniform broadcast spray by ground or aerial equipment.Unless specified on the Pastora product label, a spray adjuvant must be used in the spray mix.

Pastora is absorbed through the foliage and roots of weeds. From 1 to 3 weeks after application, leaves of susceptible plants appear pale, yellow, or yellow-white, and the growing point dies.4 to 6 weeks after application, the final effects on annual weeds can be seen.Perennial weeds are affected by application in the growing season.

One to two inches of rain or sprinkler irrigation may be needed to move Pastora into the weed root zone before the next flush of broadleaf weeds emerge. If there is not enough rain or sprinkler irrigation to move Pastora into the weed root zone, weeds will not be controlled. The amount of water required for activation increases with crop or weed regrowth.

Pastora suppresses a broad spectrum of broadleaf and grassy weeds. For a complete list, look at the product label.Buttercup, common broomweed, crotons, curly dock, dogfennel, henbit, pigweed and more are Broadleaf Weeds.

Broadleaf weeds include Buttercup, crotons, curly dock, dogfennel, henbit, pigweed, and Texas groundsel.

Grassy weeds include barnyardgrass, broadleaf signalgrass and crabgrass.

For at least one growing season, apply Pastora to bermudagrass pastures. When annual grasses are less than 2 inches tall, time applications to young, actively growing broadleaf or grass weeds are best.

There are no restrictions on the use of Pastora herbicide for non-lactating or lactating livestock. Before, during, or after applying Pastora, gnashing animals don't have to be moved off the pasture.

Back pack, ATV, or hand sprayers are used for spot applications.Thorough coverage of foliage and stems is needed to maximize results.A conejet nozzle with an orifice size of X6 to X12 is ideal. The height and density of weeds and brush will affect the application volume required.

Unless otherwise directed, applications of Pastora must include a surfactant. The preferred Surfactant is nonionic.Surfactant products must have a HLB greater than 12.Unless specifically prohibited by tank-mix partner labeling, antifoaming agents can be used. Before using other adjuvant systems, you should consult your local Bayer CropScienceLP fact sheets, technical bulletin, and service policies.

Pastora should not be used around trees that are desirable.
