Play a game of hide and clap.

The hide and clap game the family plays in their new home is a scene from the movie "The Conjuring."The ideas of Hide and Go Seek and Marco Polo are incorporated into the game. You can learn how to play with some friends.

Step 1: You can find people to play with.

If there are multiple people hiding, the game can be more challenging and fun.One person will be looking for something. The other players will not be seen.Take the ages of the other players into account.Unless there is an adult keeping an eye on things, you might not want a blindfolded toddler running around. It might be better for a player under 6 years old.

Step 2: Pick a place that is safe to play in.

It's important to choose a place where the blindfolded person won't get hurt.If you're playing outside, don't play near a busy street, traffic, or steep drop-off.Lock the doors that lead to the stairways if you're playing inside. The boundaries should be set.Make sure everyone knows that you don't want anyone in certain areas, like your parent's room, upstairs or the basement.Do you think it's okay for people to hide in things?

Step 3: Everyone should come out of hiding if you choose a signal.

It's called "Olly, Olly, Oxen Free!"You can choose any phrase you want.Make sure everyone knows what's going on.

Step 4: You can choose the person you want to see.

There are many ways to do this, from yelling "not it" to drawing straws.

Step 5: If you want to count to ten, blindfold the person and have them spin in a circle.

A scarf, bandana, or scrap of fabric can be used as a blindfold. The spinning will disorient the person so she doesn't know what direction she is in.The seekers can close their eyes if you don't have a blindfold.Make sure she doesn't look! The person can count from 10 to 100.If people need more time to hide, count to 25 or 50.

Step 6: Hide and run!

Everyone else is looking for a hiding place.Theseeker will have a hard time figuring out which direction you went since she'll be spinning, so try and keep quiet. If you're noisy, you may get caught.

Step 7: Seek the other players.

The seeker begins looking for the other players after finishing counting. If you are the seeker, listen carefully and use your hands to guide you.The players may be breathing heavily as they run to find their hiding spot.

Step 8: Shout "first clap".

The people hiding must clap their hands when the seeker asks for three claps.Don't waste your time clapping. You only have three chances, so try not to use all of them at the same time. You can find the other players by paying attention to other cues. The players can change their hiding places. You should be aware of how much noise you are making.

Step 9: There is a new person to choose.

The game ends when the person who is hiding is caught. The signal that the game is over is usually "Olly, Olly, Oxen Free!" if the seeker can't find anyone. The game may go on too long and become boring if you use a timer. She must take another turn if she doesn't find anyone. It's okay to switch if someone else wants a turn.If she never finds anyone, it may be frustrating to her.
