Prepare your makeup.

Don't fret if you're not sure how to use the makeup application technique called baking.Keeping up with all of the latest beauty trends is hard.Baking your makeup isn't hard, and it can give you a flawless look.Just like the pros, you can bake your makeup with a bit of time and translucent powder.

Step 1: Apply liquid foundation.

If you use an all-over liquid foundation as part of your makeup routine, you should apply it before baking.Do not use foundation powder.Baking will not set liquid products on your face.To create a smooth base, use your liquid foundation to even out your skin tone.

Step 2: Under your eyes, apply moisturize.

You can find hydrating eye cream at beauty supply stores or your local pharmacy. You can apply this to the delicate skin underneath your eyes to prepare them for makeup application. If you struggle with dark circles under your eyes, a good eye product can help.Wrinkles and lines can cause makeup to crease up and look unnatural if you don't apply an eye cream.Allow the eye cream to absorb into your skin for a couple of minutes by putting it under your eyes.

Step 3: It's a good idea to apply concealer under your eyes.

It's time to apply makeup after the eye cream has fully absorbed into your skin.To bake your makeup, use a thick, full-coverage concealer. You can use that if you already have a favorite.Use a finger or a brush to apply the concealer underneath your eyes.If you want to avoid bringing the concealer all the way up to your eye, start a couple of centimeters underneath. The apples of your cheeks should be put under your eye.

Step 4: Put your makeup in a container.

Put a makeup sponge or Beautyblender in the correct position. To blend out your concealer, use quick patting motions.Bring the concealer to your eye as you blend. You will get lighter and more natural looking coverage if you apply it this way.Generic versions of the foam, tear-dropped shape makeup sponge are available at most drug stores.

Step 5: The process should be repeated with a second coat of makeup.

A second coat can help to lock in the first coat and ensure full-coverage all day.If you want to apply it with a brush, leave a small amount of space between the concealer and your eye.Pick up your makeup sponge and blend it out again.

Step 6: You can apply concealer to other parts of your face.

While the skin under your eyes is the main focus of baking, you can apply concealer to any other area where you want a bright, flawless finish.Under your cheeks, under the bridge of your nose, and on your chin are places to put the concealer. If you want to add a bit of flair to your face, you can bake these areas as well.

Step 7: Dust on translucent powder.

Makeup is set with translucent powders. They make sure that your makeup stays put through long days and nights. You can buy translucent powder at your local drugstore.Use a Blending brush to lightly apply the translucent powder.Just enough powder is all you need to set your makeup in place.

Step 8: Pack on the powder.

The application of the concealer is just as important as the step of baking. You can use your makeup tools. You can spray your makeup setting spray. The brush, sponge, or wedge should be put into the translucent powder you used before.Apply it thickly under your eyes, as well as any other areas of your face. The translucent powder should be applied very generously to your eyes, chin, cheeks, nose, and forehead.Continue dipping the brush into the translucent powder to pack more product.

Step 9: To sit the translucent powder, allow it to sit.

You will look silly after applying the translucent powder.Don't worry, that's part of the baking process. The translucent powder allows the heat from your face to set your liquid foundation and concealer firmly into place, so give it about five or ten minutes to bake fully.

Step 10: You can use a brush to apply your favorite foundation.

The brush you used to apply the translucent powder can be used again.Remove any excess product by swirling your brush into the powder. This powder won't be applied as generously as the translucent powder.

Step 11: Dust off the powder.

Use the brush with foundation to remove the translucent powder.Under your eyes, chin, cheek hollows, and forehead, do this. The foundation on the brush will give you more coverage as you brush away the translucent powder. You will see smooth, even skin as you brush away the translucent powder.

Step 12: It's a good idea to mix any harsh edges.

Double check that there are no unnatural edges on your face after you've brushed away the excess translucent powder. To correct this, use your blending brush and a bit of your powder foundation. You can blend out any spots with a light hand.
