Put a pool in the ground.

There are many above ground pools on the market that offer hours of family fun and good exercise when the weather is hot.It depends on the type and quality of the pool.Installation is easy if you are prepared.

Step 1: You can find what you need.

Before you start building your pool, make sure you have everything you need. Many of the tools you will use can be rented from your local equipment rental outlet.Measure the head screwdriver, Duct tape, Sand Filter Skimmer, and Level Rake.

Step 2: The packets can be opened.

It is easier to find what you need when you separate the hardware.Don't mix the different sized nuts together. It will be hard to find the correct hardware while you are building.

Step 3: Pick the area.

Determine where you want to put the above ground pool. You should place your pool close to any trees.Avoid steep slopes.Don't allow underground obstruction such as tree roots. All state and local codes must be complied with.

Step 4: Ensure the ground is level.

It is important to the structure of your pool that this be done a couple different ways.To find a level area, rent a transit.Renting can be done at most local equipment rental outlets. To measure the levelness of the area, use a long, straight board with a carpenters level on top of it.

Step 5: You can find the center point.

The middle of the pool will be here. It's easy to measure off an object.Your existing object is a fence or swing set.To mark where you want the edge of your pool, measure from the existing object.Measure half of the pool's width from the marked edge using the tape measure. This is where you want to be.Place the tape measure at the center of the pool.

Step 6: Take a peek at the outline of the pool.

This measurement will not be the wall of your pool, but it will give you a guideline for building. The tape measure needs to be pulled to the circle of your pool. All the way around your center point, mark this on the ground.

Step 7: The sod needs to be removed

The pool cannot be installed on the grass. The bottom can shift or settle over time if you put it on grass.Renting a sod removal service from your equipment rental shop will make this part of the job much easier.

Step 8: Take care of the area.

Rake over the area to clean it after you dug up your sod.The remaining sod will be removed. The roots, rocks, and other debris that can be bad for your liner will be picked up by the rake.

Step 9: Make sure you double check the area.

This is important to the structure of the pool.If you want to build up low areas, dig down any high areas. The pool will not settle over time.Your entire area should be level.

Step 10: The bottom ring is being built.

To create your bottom ring, use your plates, stabilizers, and rails. There are different types of plates. The bottom plates will either be metal or plastic. The stabilizer will be crimped on one side. The rails are small. The bottom rail is larger than the stabilizer. They should be laid out along the site. The bottom rail should be put into the bottom plate. To make sure the pool is round and the correct size, measure the bottom track across several locations.Put the ring into position if the size is correct.

Step 11: Support your group.

The base of your pool should be supported once your ring is in place. It will help keep your pool level for a long time.Level the plates. All of your parts should be close to each other. You can put a patio block under your plates. The track should be placed into the ground so that it doesn't fall down. The block needs to be level in all directions. The sand can be brought in by removing one bottom rail. The two connecting bottom plates should be marked so that you can place them in the correct spot.Sand can be dumped in your pool area.Depending on the size of your pool, you will need between 1 yard and 6 yards of sand. The sand should be spread evenly across the pool area.

Step 12: Attach your pool wall.

Now that you have a level bottom for your pool, it's time to put a wall around it.You can easily do this with the tracks on your plates. The skimmer cutout needs to be on the top part of the wall.Use landscaping stakes around the pool area to hold the wall.Continue around the ring after placing the wall into the track at the center of the bottom plate. The bottom rails in or out of the bottom plates can be adjusted if the wall doesn't line up at the end.It should be done evenly around the pool.

Step 13: Place the wall together.

Put your pool wall together after installing the proper support. There are single row wall bars.Use nuts and bolts to secure these.Put a fill in each spot with your hand screwdriver.Your pool may break if you don't use a nut in every hole.Pre-attached wall bars don't come with staggered wall bar systems.Put one wall bar on the inside of the pool and one outside of it.Use your nuts and bolts to connect them.Wall bars can't touch each other.Put three layers of duct tape on the bolt heads. The liner will be protected from getting holes.A cove is built along the inside of the pool wall. The upright needs to be installed on the bottom plates. The top can be determined by an extra hole on the center. You should pack your cove. When you are doing this, be careful not to scratch the pool wall. You can use a tool.

Step 14: Put the liner on.

You don't want tears to form in your liner when you do this. For a few minutes, lay the liner in the sun.It will be easier for you to lay out.Wet the sand and rake the pool area. The level base for your pool will be ensured by this.Put the liner in the pool.Don't step on the liner with your shoes on.Either install it barefoot or in socks. There is a separate track around the pool. The track is on top of the pool wall.V-Bead liners are not required. This liner will be held in by the stabilizer rails.Unibead liners can be used in a variety of ways. You can make it a snap bead liner by removing the top portion. The pool wall has overlap liners hanging over it.These are secured with plastic strips.Work on the outside of the pool. The stabilizer rails should be on the top of the pool wall. You can take down the stakes once the rails are installed.

Step 15: Top plates, rails, and covers are being installed.

When done correctly, these pieces fit into one another.Always check the sides and top to make sure they are level. The last step in building a pool is this. The uprights should be placed on the top plates.Make sure they are straight.Use proper screws to tighten them. The top rails need to be installed.Once the rails are in place, place them around the pool and tighten the screws.Top covers need to be tightened on your uprights.

Step 16: Work out the lines.

During the first inch of filling, you can walk around the liner and work on the outside of the pool. This is the last chance to make a straight surface for your pool floor. If you are walking around on the liner, make sure you don't wear shoes or flipflops, and that you do not bring rocks with you.

Step 17: Half way through the pool, fill the half way hole.

Slowly fill the pool. When you fill your pool half way, check your skimmer and filters for instructions on how to install them.

Step 18: Please finish and enjoy.

You are almost done! The pool should be filled the rest of the way.The safety warnings should be installed. If you don't have them, get in touch with your manufacturer and they will give you new warnings for free.If you don't add your labels, your warranty will be void. There is a bigger label for the outside of your pool. The smaller label is on the liner above the water line and across from the pool entryway. The pool needs to be filled. The water should be 1/3 and 12 way up the skimmer.
