Remove a quick weave.

A quick weave can be a fun way to change up your look, but only last for about 4 weeks. It's easy to remove your quick weave if you coat the hair wefts and cap with oil.If you end up with dried glue on your hair, you should use a glue removal product. Before you wash your hair, comb it to make sure it is clean.

Step 1: Apply the oil to your quick weave.

You can buy hair oils that are designed to loosen and remove quick weaves.Purchase these at your local beauty supply store. You can use oil-based products at home if you don't want to buy a new product.

Step 2: Apply the oil to the hair.

If you have oil in a bottle, you can spray it on the hair weft.If you're using something that doesn't come in a spray bottle, you can put it into a bowl. You can spread it on the hair weft where it meets the cap by dipping your fingers into it.If you want to protect your clothes, wear a plastic cape or grocery bag over your body.Oil stains can be difficult to remove from clothing. While you remove the quick weave, consider wearing an old t-shirt.

Step 3: Put a shower cap on your hair and leave it for an hour.

If you have oily hair, put on a shower cap to keep it out of your face.If you want the oil to loosen the hair weft glue, leave the cap on for an hour.

Step 4: Rub the wefts on your hair after you have removed the shower cap.

After the wefts have soaked, take off the shower or nylon cap.Rub the wefts on your hair with your fingers. The wefts should be loosened so they slide down.If the weft feels dry, spread or spray more oil onto it.Wait 30 minutes after applying the oil a second time to try and work it again.

Step 5: The wefts are on your hair.

Pull the hair away from you.Continue to remove the individual hair wefts that aren't attached to the cap by pulling it completely away from your hair.If you're having trouble pulling away the hair wefts, saturate them with more oil product and let it sit for another 30 minutes before you try again.

Step 6: Use oil to massage the edges of the cap.

Once you've removed the individual hair wefts that made up the top of your hair, spray or spread more oil to the edges of the cap.You should rub the edges of the cap to help it slide off.If you don't loosen the cap first, you'll damage your hair.In some cases, the damage can be severe and result in bald patches.Allow the cap to loosen as you take your time.

Step 7: Continue to spray the cap with oil.

Keep applying oil with your hands as you massage towards the center of the cap.The cap will loosen and fall from your head. You can remove the cap with the hair wefts attached to it.The wefts can be used to save or discard the cap. After the removal process, some caps will be damaged or ripped.Throw the cap away if this happens. You can reuse the wefts with a new cap after you wash and condition them.

Step 8: To loosen glue, apply oil to the glue spots.

To get the oil into your hair, use your fingers.Allow it to sit for 30 minutes, then pull your fingers or comb through your hair to remove the glue. You should wash your hair after you get out as much glue as possible. The same oil can be used to remove the wefts.

Step 9: Remove the shampoo from the glue.

Glue that's attached to your hair can be dissolved with a glue removing product. You can purchase these at local beauty supply stores. If you want to massage your hair, rub some of the shampoo onto it.How much glue is left in your hair will affect the amount of glue you need.If you can't find a glue removing cleanser, use a clarifying one. This will remove the oil from the hair wefts.

Step 10: Take your hair out with a comb.

While the glue is in your hair, take a plastic wide-toothed comb and pull it through to catch any large pieces of dried glue.Warm water will help remove the product from your hair.Fine-tooth combs can pull and tear hair, so it's important to use a wide-toothed comb.

Step 11: You should wash your hair with your usual cleanser.

Get your hair wet and massage your standard cleanser through it.After you've rubbed it into your hair, rinse it out with warm water. This will remove any oil that was left in your hair.

Step 12: To keep your hair healthy, condition it.

If your hair has dried out because of the glue remover and shampoo, you should use some of your favorite conditioner through it.To remove glue from your hair, comb the conditioner through it.Leave the conditioner in your hair for a while and then rinse it out.If your hair still feels dry, you can use a deep conditioner for up to an hour. You can use coconut or argan oil on your hair.
