Can you block a friend on Facebook?It's impossible for a user to contact you if you block them completely.You can turn chat off for specific users if a complete block is too much.
Step 1: You can click the Facebook Menu button.
At the top of the page is where this is located.
Step 2: From the menu, select "Settings".
Step 3: The "Blocking" option can be found in the menu on the left.
Step 4: You can enter a user to block them.
Step 5: The user you are blocking can be found in the search results.
Step 6: You should confirm that you want to block the user.
You will be unfriended as well as blocked from messaging them.The user won't be able to see any content on their timelines.
Step 7: The settings button can be found at the bottom of the chat list.
It looks like a gear.
Step 8: "Advanced settings" can be found from the menu.
Step 9: The person you want to chat with can be entered.
Before you finish typing, you can choose from a list of possible matches.
Step 10: Click to save.
All future chat messages will be forwarded to your inbox.
