Color adds interest and emotion to documents.You can add color swatch for use in your print documents if you use Adobe InDesign, a desktop publishing program that allows designers to create a variety of print materials.You can uniformly apply and modify the color schemes used in your documents.
Step 1: The Swatches panel is located on the far right side of your workspace.
If you don't already have a workspace, open it by selecting Windows>Colors>Swatches.
Step 2: The Other Library can be found in the color mode list.
Go to the file you want to add swatch to.Select the swatch you would like to add by clicking open.
Step 3: Click OK to proceed.
Step 4: Select Load Swatches when you open the panel.
Step 5: Double click the file name if you would like to add swatches to the document.
Step 6: Select New Color Swatch when opening your Swatches panel.
Step 7: Pick the library file from which you would like to add a swatch or swatch from the Color Mode list.
You can navigate to the library file from which you would like to add a swatch or swatch by selecting Other Library from the Color Mode list.
Step 8: Click Add if you would like to add the swatch you selected.
Step 9: Click the Done button.
Step 10: Select New Color Swatch to open your panel.
Step 11: Pick either Process or Spot as your color type.
Step 12: The mode for defining the color should be specified.
Step 13: If you want to change the color values or enter a specific numerical value in the boxes, you have to drag the colors to do it.
Pick your color from the Color Mode menu if you are using a spot color.
Step 14: Click Add to add your swatch or click OK to create a new swatch and exit the window.
Step 15: Add color to your document when you start creating it.
If you want to highlight your text, use your Selection tool.Click the type icon if you want to open your Swatches panel.From the Swatches panel, select the color you want.Use your Selection tool to add color to a frame or object.Click either the stroke or fill icon to open your Swatches panel.From the Swatches panel, select the color you want.
