Zenyatta calls upon orbs of harmony and discord to heal his teammates and weaken his opponents, all while pursuing a state of immunity to damage.
Zenyatta is an offense-focused Support.He stands out from the other supports due to his incredible killing power, his Orb of Destruction can let him shred through even the sturdiest of Tanks with well aimed shots.His Orb of Harmony and Transcendence abilities allow him to keep a team alive even though he isn't as powerful as a healer.The power is counterbalanced by a lack of mobility.Unless Zenyatta uses his ultimate, he moves at a slow pace and has no ability to speed him up.He is vulnerable to large amounts of incoming fire.
Zenyatta is an omnic monk who wanders the world in search of spiritual enlightenment.People who cross his path are never the same again.He believes that by forming people into relationships, the world can be healed.He will fight to protect the innocent.The orbs he uses were carved at the Shambali monastary and serve as a means to channel omnic energy.[5]
Zenyatta had a hard time understanding humans' manner of speech.He still struggles with their figures.[5]
Zenyatta was a member of the Shambali.He believed that the way to repair the problems between humans and omnics was through connection and engagement.Zenyatta followed his own path.He left the monastery to help people overcome their personal struggles and find inner peace.[3]
At some point before or after leaving the monastery, he encountered Genji, who was conflicted with his nature as a cyborg.Genji initially rejected Zenyatta's wisdom, but the omnic wouldn't be deterred.Genji reconciled his existence as both man and machine after Zenyatta became his mentor.Genji was considered to be one of Zenyatta's best students.[8]
The statue of Aurora in a temple was destroyed when the ground broke during Zenyatta's pilgrimage in Suravasa.Later, inside the temple, he met with the agent who'd come on his behalf.He told her that if the help they provided was not constructive, it wouldn't mean anything.She was offered lodging at the temple so that she could better understand the community.He told her about Aurora's history when she agreed to stay.
Zenyatta told Vaswani that she had put on a temple robe.She stated that she was sincere in her efforts to give back, an intention that Zenyatta had never doubted.Before Zenyatta gave her the Orb of Perception, she was told to study it.On the fourth day, she watched Zenyatta and the other omnic priests prepare food for the hungry in the village.As a gesture of silent support, Vaswani served her food herself.After meditating on the orbs, Zenyatta asked Vaswani to stay behind and think about the day.The conversation turned to her role as an architech.Vaswani stated at the end of their conversation that she knew what she had to do.
Zenyatta and Vaswani walked into the temple's courtyard, where they met with a crowd of priests, pilgrims, villagers, and Vishkar personnel.She said she used hard-light to fix the shrine.After the event, she met with Zenyatta, who told her that she was always welcome.Every dawn brings a new chance to choose our path.I hope they see that now.[5]
Zenyatta has low healing and mobility outside of his ultimate but makes up for it with high potential damage output.With the recently lowered barrier uptime, we want to make sure Zenyatta still excelled at his strengths.The change will make his attack flow a bit better.
Zenyatta is in a better place since the last update, but the strength of Orb of Discord has made him an almost mandatory pick.Orb of Discord's effectiveness has been reduced, but his damage-dealing potential has increased.The amount of damage he does should not be affected by the change.
Zenyatta made up for his lack of healing abilities by dealing more damage.His lack of mobility and low health has made it difficult for him to find a place in many games.The biggest change to increase his effectiveness is an increased shield pool.He will be able to go head-to-head with more enemies.Zenyatta's orbs help him move his orbs around and apply their effects more quickly.We have increased Transcendence's healing throughput.The ultimate was designed to be the most effective against sustained, high-damage fire and the worst against short high damage bursts.There were times when it was possible to overcome Transcendence because of the amount of healing it provided.Zenyatta has been allowed to move around more quickly while it is active.
