The Aqua Rite Diagnostics Manual is available in the INYOpools.com archives.

The most popular residential salt chlorination in the pool industry is the Aqua Rite Salt Chlorine Generator.Every salt chlorine generator needs a quick tune up from time to time.

We have created a guide to help pool owners understand the diagnostic codes and get their chlorination system working again.

The Check Salt & Inspect Cell LEDs will flash at the same time when the salt level is between 2500 and 2500 ppm. When the lights are on, chlorine is still being produced. The salt level can be found when the LEDs are on.This also means that chlorine production has stopped.

The 500 operational hour timer has expired.Press and hold the Diagnostics button until the Inspect Cell LED turns off.

The main switch should be moved to the auto position. To set the cell type, switch the main switch from auto to superchlorinate. When your cell-type appears on the display, push the Diagnostic button.Back to the top.

When the salt cell is replaced, the average salt level needs to be set.The factory's default is 2800 parts per million.

If you want to reset the average salt level, turn the unit off and back on.Wait between 5 and 10 seconds for the relay to click.Press the Diagnostics button 5 times to see the Instant Salt level on the screen. It is possible that you need to wait for the number to settle.Back to the top.

The solution is to set the level of cell operation as a percentage of the operating time.75% of the total pump operating time is operating and generating chlorine.

If the chlorine level does not increase within 24 hours after increasing the output, you should test your water with a water test kit.

It is scaled back to 20% of the desired output setting at 60 F.

When the cell amperage is over the limit, the light will be on.If the control is set for the wrong type, the high salt light is on.The screen will read something.

The salt level is 3400 parts per million. The salt level should be checked with a water test kit.

If the salt level is above the range, we recommend that you drain the pool or spa and refill it with fresh water.

The amount of water drained from your pool will affect the salt level.Back to the top.

Wait about 60 seconds after starting the pool pump. The plumbing installation requires 12 inches of straight pipe before the flow switch. After the flow switch, there should be no elbow pipe.

If the flow switch is installed backwards, check if the no flow light is on.The water flow needs the arrows at the top of the nut to point in the same direction. The flow switch requires a minimum flow rate to stay closed. The wire should be checked for damage.Back to the top.

The solution is to check to see if the time clock is on.Check the input jumpers for the correct position. The jumpers are on 2 and 3.The factory's default is this.jumpers should be on 1 and 2 and 3 and 4.

Refer to the owner's manual for all other power or wiring issues.Back to the top.

When the water temperature is less than 50 F, the screen will show "HOT".New salt cells can be found here.
