There is a built in reminder to inspect and clean the cell every 500 hours.A number of things could happen if the "check salt" light is on.The check salt light will come on if the display salt reading is 2,700 or lower.An independent salt level test is always recommended.If the cell needs to be cleaned, inspect the salt level.Before adding salt, make sure the water is tested independent of the Aqua Rite reading.Salt does not leave the pool from splash out, leak or removing water.
You can reset the Inspect Cell Light by holding down the diagnostic button for 3 seconds and releasing it.After 500 hours of use, the Inspect Cell indicator will come back on.
