The desk cables should be organized.

It is hard to concentrate at your desk when you have a lot of cords hanging. If you want to clean up your workspace, there are many things you can hide.We will show you how to sort and arrange your cables so that they are out of sight.

Step 1: Store the cables in empty rolls if you don't use them.

Save the cardboard tube when you use the last bit of toilet paper.Push the coil into the center of the tube.Keep the cord tucked away in a drawer until you need to use it again. They don't get tangled with other cables if they keep each cord in a separate tube.Longer cables should be kept in a paper towel roll.

Step 2: You can easily access your cables by hanging clips on the edge of the desk.

To open them, squeeze the clips and slide them onto your desk. There is a wide section of metal brackets on the binder clip. The cable should be put into the closed end of the metal brackets.Plug it in when you need it.If you leave enough slack on your cables, they can reach where you need them.If the top is thick, the binder clips won't fit on your desk.

Step 3: Attach your cables to your desk legs with zip ties.

Take a bundle of wires and make sure they are straight. You can still move and manipulate the wires if you place your first zip tie a couple of inches from the end of the bundle.Wrap a zip tie around your desk legs as you move the bundle of wires. You can easily cut the zip tie off if you leave enough space.Zip ties that are the same color as your desk blend in well. You could damage your cords if you overtighten the zip ties.

Step 4: You can hold the cables in place with cable clips.

Peel the backing off of the clips and press them onto your desk.Push the cable into the slot on the front of the clip.Push the cable into the back legs of your desk so it doesn't have a lot of slack. You will not be able to see the cables from the front. You can buy cable clips at your local office supply store. If you have a wooden desk, you can buy nail-in clips.Use a hammer to nail the clip into your desk if you put the cable inside.

Step 5: These hook and loop fasteners can be used to bundle a large group of cables.

If you want to keep the cables untangled, gather all of them in the same bundle.Press down on the end of the cords to secure the fastening.Extra cable wraps should be placed every few inches along the cords.Online or in stores, buy cable wraps. If you reorganize your desk frequently, cable wraps are perfect.

Step 6: To keep a bundle of cords secure, use a cable sleeve.

Wrap one end of the sleeve around the cables.Wrap the sleeve around the cables as you work on them. Before securing the end of the sleeve, fold any extra cords into it.The cable sleeve protects the wires inside the bundle from being damaged. There are holes on the sides of some cable sleeves that allow you to pull a power adaptor through them. You can run the power cord inside the sleeve with the rest of the cables.

Step 7: All of your cords are organized in these boxes.

The power strip should be placed inside the cover near the outlet.Tuck the excess length of the cable inside the cover.Feed the cables out from the side of the cover and place the lid on top to keep your desk space organized. It is possible to get a power strip cover that matches your desk.

Step 8: The cords are hidden in plain sight.

You can put cord covers on your wall, along the baseboards, or underneath your desk. You can use a hacksaw to cut the cover.Press the double-sided strips against the wall.Pull your cords along the length of the cover and press the top piece on to secure them.If you want to camouflage them better, you can paint them to blend in with your desk or wall.

Step 9: You can keep cords off the ground by attaching wire trays to your desk.

There is a wire tray that is short enough to fit under the desktop. To nail or screw your tray onto your desk, follow the instructions that came with it.Plug in your cables by putting a power strip in the tray.Excess cable should be kept inside of the tray. Before installing a tray, make sure there is still room underneath the desk for your legs.

Step 10: You can keep a power strip and chargers in a drawer.

You can cut a hole through the back of the drawer by taking it out from your desk. There is a power strip inside the drawer.Place your drawer back in your desk by plugging your chargers into the power strip.Plug it in when you need to charge something. It works great for charging your phone while you work.
