Step 3: You should wash and towel dry your hair.

If you want to prepare your hair for dyeing, wash it once or twice with your regular cleanser.Blow it dry with a hair dryer.Don't dry it with a towel.

Step 4: Prepare your hair by applying Elumen.

Get some Elumen and run your hands through your hair.Continue to squirt more in your hand and apply it to your hair. The Prepare product doesn't need to be applied to your hair.

Step 5: Put your hair in a ponytail.

It may be a good idea to separate your hair into sections if you have a lot of hair. You can use a comb to split your hair across your head from one side to the other. You should divide your hair into four equal sections at this point. To keep them apart, twist and clip each one.

Step 6: Put your hair color in a bowl.

If you have long hair, you might want to empty the entire contents of the bottle into the bowl.If you're touching up your hair or have shorter hair, you should put some into the bowl.

Step 7: It's a good idea to cover your shoulders and work area to prevent staining.

Before applying a color, drape an old towel over your shoulders and wear a shirt that you don't care about.Put a towel on the counter where you'll apply the color. If you put your products and materials on top of the towel, they will not stain the countertop.

Step 8: You can apply the color with your hands.

Remove one of your front sections of hair.Either reach your gloved hand into the bowl and scoop out the dye, or dip the brush into it.Work your way out to the tips of your hair by starting at the roots.Move onto the next section when the section is completely covered in dye.Continue until the color is applied to your hair. It's a good idea to apply it carefully so that you don't get the color in your eyes or throw it around the room.If you want to keep the different colored sections of your hair separate, clip sheets of foil between them.If you're dyeing your hair multiple colors and don't separate them, the colors will blend together, which many find attractive.

Step 9: You can cover your hair by pinning it up.

Use clips to pin up your hair after you're done. You can cover your hair with plastic wrap or a shower cap.

Step 10: For half an hour, let the color process take place.

After you have covered your hair, leave it alone for 30 minutes. The color will process best at room temperature. If you're using a hair dryer, only allow it to process for 20 minutes.

Step 11: Your hair needs to be washed and conditioned.

After half an hour, rinse your hair and then apply your regular conditioner.Let the conditioner sit on your hair for a short time, and then rinse it out with cool water and towel dry it.

Step 12: Put Elumen Lock in your hands.

Attach the Elumen Lock to your palm.Use your hands to coat your hair.

Step 13: Wait 5 minutes to wash and condition your hair.

Step 14: Rub Elumen clean on the stained skin.
