The washer doesn't finish the drain cycle, so how to fix F2 error...

The washer stopped working during the drain cycle. It sounds like the pump is running. The door will not open when this happens.I have to plug in the electric cord again.I have to do that several times before the cycle is complete.

I got a new washer because my old one wasn't emptying properly. It does a wash but doesn't empty. What can I do?

Do you know if the drain that the washer's drain hose is placed into is partially blocked?

If you can pour some water into the drain and see that it doesn't build up and come back out, then you have removed the washer's drain hose.

The drain pump might be malfunctioning if the washer doesn't drain water. It's common for a small piece of clothing to get caught in the drain pump or drain hose. Before the pump is replaced, check for an obstruction.

There is a chance that the washer won't drain. It's common for small socks or other small clothing items to get into the water drain system and cause a problem. The article of clothing needs to be removed from the pump. When the water is removed from the hoses, it will pour out of the washer.

The Series 80 won't drain with the pump.I can hear it going down the drain when it spins out.I replaced the pump but it didn't fix the problem. The washer has to spin twice to get clothes dry enough to put in the dryer. Is there a bad timer that is missing the pump sequence?

When I pulled the pump and replaced it, I got clear water out of the hoses and nothing under the agitator.I don't think it's possible to plug the discharge since water goes out when the washer spins. If a timer could be the problem, it would be appreciated.

I can see water dripping out from my washed clothes because my whirlpool top load washer doesn't complete the drain cycle.I have checked the drain and it is clean, any suggestions will be helpful.

Is there any water left in the tub at the end of the drain cycle? What is left in the tub is not what is on the clothes.

Does the washer go to the spin cycle to remove the water from the clothes?

1.Remove the lower front panel, the access panel and the screws on the bottom of the machine.Pull the bottom of the panel towards you.

2.The pump filter cover should be turned clockwise by hand. You will get the water spilling out of the pan if you put a bucket underneath it.The water should be removed from the washer.

It's FIXED!The drain filter held about $20 in change, 50 nuts and bolts, and so much more, thanks for the great information.Having someone hold the washer as you lean it back to gain access and then simply open the filter was helpful.

The machine will not drain even after the filter is cleaned. That must mean the pump is not working.I washed some rugs with rubble backing and they had a problem with the filter.

You didn't state the make or model number of your washer, but here's a video that shows the 3 different drain hose connection options that are common to all washing machines, top loaders and front loaders.

Check the drain where the washer's drain pipe goes into to make sure it isn't blocked.

If the washer drain hose goes behind the machine, it will have to be moved to get to the drain pipe.

There is no access panel in my washer, model # 417.41100000.I think I'll have to take off the entire right side panel to get to the drain filter or pump.I would have liked to have looked for a way to clean out the filter before buying it.The instructions state to clean the filter once a month.!

The 80 Series is not draining water from it.The machine I use is top load.I took some of the steps experts talked about. There was no obstruction when I checked the drain pipe.I checked the top cover switch and found it to be functional and I thought it could be the water pump that works with the motor of the washing machine.I don't have a solution after spending 50 dollars.

The Rotation of Motor seems to be working, but the water is not draining after the cleaning cycle.

The pump that was replaced wasn't draining before the spin.It should be pumping water out before it spins.

I replaced the pump and cleaned the filters. The pump wouldn't come out of the hose even though I had a F02 code.I replaced the water level pressure switch and still got an F02 code.I followed the rubber tubing from the water level pressure switch to the back of the drum after removing the top and back panel.I looked in the hole after removing the screw holding the plastic attachment to the tub.A children's sock was used to plug the hole.I found 3 more socks when I scoped inside.I pulled out another sock after removing the drain hose from the drum. The small articles got stuck in the hose.I replaced the hose/filter/pump assembly after removing it.The machine runs well now. When washing clothes, the owners manual states to put small articles of clothing into a bag.I can't understand why.The little buggers get stuck in the drum hose as they go to the pump.
