There are different types of cable jointing in electrical.

Most of the electrical distribution networks use cable jointing kits. These are needed when repairing damaged cable sections or when one wants to extend the existing cable for use with other applications.Straight through cable joint type linking two cross-linked polyethylene cables or two paper insulated lead covered cables is what these jointing kits are. They could be a transition cable joint type.

Even in water-stagnated conditions, the cable jointing accessories must satisfy the basic conditions. They are classified by the groups given below.

Plastic shrinkable tube is used in this cable jointing type.Environmental protection and seals for cable entry are some of the uses for this type of joint.Polyolefin or nylon is the material of the heat shrink tubing. They shrink radially but not longitudinally. The wires are twisted before the heat shrink is applied.

The easiest type of cable joint to use is this one.The wires are jointed after the slip-on tubing is inserted. The slip-on tube is fused. This is used in a lot of places.

These joints are pre-moulded and have good electrical and mechanical properties. The material usually chosen is ethylene-propylene rubber. The rubber mouldings keep the joint immobile for normal forces while providing proper insulation. These are used in tunnels and underground applications. There are heat shrinkable tubes on the outer sides of the hard box coffin. The boxes are filled with cold material.

These are used in places where torches can't be used due to legal restriction or outdoor conditions. After you make the joint, the cold shrink tube will shrink. The joint is impervious to water because of the tension in the tubing.Silicone material of the tubing shrinks due to this.

These types of cable joints are reliable. You can push-on the sleeves on the cables once you have made the joint. You can use them for all of the cables. They are in high demand because of their high weathering quality.

This can be done by twisting wires and using tape to cover the joint. The bare wires are stripped and twisted into a rat-tail joint or a western union straight joint. The knotted tap joint is sometimes used when you have more than two wires.Attach the bare wires with tape.

The proper cable joint is used.Quality of the electrical connections can be assured with the use of superior tools and material. The safety of the equipment remains guaranteed if you have superior materials.
