There is a name rater in Pokemon oras.

A Name Rater is a man who decides how suitable a nickname is.The players can change the nickname of their Pokémon if they are the original trainers.

There is no traditional Name Rater in Galar; instead, Jack offers to change Pokémon nicknames.

The Name Rater will give a nickname or change its nickname if the player shows them that they are the original trainer.

The player will usually refuse to change the nickname of the Name Rater if he sees it as an outsider.The Name Rater will refuse to change the name of an outsider Pokémon if it has a nickname.

The method by which the game determines if the player is a Pokémon's Original Trainer varies between generations.

If the player presses End with no characters in the nickname space, the process will proceed as if they canceled the nicknaming process.The Pokémon is given the same nickname in later games.

The Pokémon's species name is replaced by the currently entered text on the nickname screen in Generations V and VII.This replaces the currently entered text with the Pokémon's current nickname.

In Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu!Since the player can freely nickname their Pokémon at any time, the Name Rater has been rendered a normal NPC.
