There is a place to hide in the woods.

In the house, hide and seek is a common game, but in the woods it becomes more difficult to play.It is harder to stay completely hidden than it is to hide. You will become a master at hiding in the woods if you blend in with your surroundings. Step 1: It is a good idea to wear dark or camouflaged clothing. White, orange, and red are not found naturally in the woods. If you want to stay hidden, wear brown, greens, or greys. The colors blend in with your surroundings.Black doesn't occur in nature often, so it will stick out compared to the rest of the woods. Most of your skin is hidden if you wear long sleeves and pants. Step 2: Take off shiny objects. There are metal watches that reflect the sunlight. Before you go into the woods, make sure to keep them in your pockets or safe place.A great hiding spot should not be ruined by a glare. If you can, wear contacts instead of glasses. The sun could give you a hiding spot. Step 3: Dark colors or mud can be used to cover exposed skin. If you want to blend in, you should rub dirt or mud on your face.Paint or ashes can be used from a fire.Camouflage face paint can be purchased at sporting goods stores. When applying camouflage, be careful around your eyes, nose, and mouth. If you don't want to put anything on your skin, Wrap a scarf or bandana around your face. Step 4: You can disguise your silhouette by using branches or fabrics. The shape of your body is something that will stand out from the rest.To make your form look more organic, find branches or grasses on top of your shoulders and wrap them around your sleeves. You can make a ghillie suit by tying ropes and grasses together.Making your form look less familiar is what good camouflage is all about. Step 5: You can hide in thick bushes. You may get spotted in areas that don't have a lot of trees. As you hide in the underbrush, lie on the ground.Don't make a noise if anyone comes near you. Many people won't look at plants near bushes.Be careful not to hurt yourself while you are hiding, take advantage of these areas. Step 6: You should make most of your movements in the shadows. You don't want to make shadows when you have to move. You can hide from whoever is trying to find you by staying in the underbrush or under the trees.Wait for the clouds to cover the sun. Before the sun comes back out, make sure to get to your new spot. Step 7: When you are moving, stay low to the ground. If you have to move around so you don't get silhouetted by the sun, walk while crouching.Make sure the sun isn't casting a shadow when you stand up.Do your best to go around the hills rather than over them. Step 8: Before you listen to your surroundings, move 50 yd (46 m) at a time. As you move, crouch to the ground.Look around and listen to the woods. If you can't hear anyone near you, stay still and silent for at least 10 seconds.Stay still if you see another person. You can quietly duck down to the ground if they haven't noticed you. Step 9: If you step on undergrowth, avoid breaking branches. You don't want to break the foliage if you watch where you step.A snapping branch can sound like a gunshot. You will be easy to track if you check behind you when you change spots. If you run through wet ground, cover your footprints. Step 10: In a heavily wooded area, hide the fire behind trees at night. You can't see very far into the woods if you look for a space that is surrounded by trees. If you make your fire, the thick trees will help hide the firelight and smoke. The fire produces less smoke if the bark is removed. Step 11: The light is not visible if the fire is in a hole. If you still worry about anyone seeing your camp, dig a 2 by 2 foot hole in the ground.Make another air hole at the bottom of the one you just dug. This makes the fire burn more quickly. No one can find you if you put out your fire before you go to sleep. Step 12: You should lay in a pit shelter to be safe. The pit should be 3 feet deep and slightly longer than your body length. The edge of your pit is 20 cm deep and 8 inches wide.Lift the logs on the lip around the pit.To hide your shelter, cover the logs with leaves and soil.People can walk over the top of the shelter without being aware that you are underneath them.Leave the shelter's floor with leaves for insulation.Since rotting logs may break under someone's weight, don't use them.
