There is a way to add a video to a powerpoint presentation.

You can conduct presentations without having to use your Internet browser and PowerPoint at the same time.The "Insert video" feature can be used to add a video to a presentation, or you can add the video's URL to the Properties tab.

Step 1: If you want the video to be in the powerpoint presentation, open it.

Step 2: You can get the video you want embedded into your presentation by launching your internet browser.

Step 3: Click below the video to share it.

The video's code can be seen on-screen.

Step 4: Click on the video's code to copy it.

Step 5: Go back to your presentation and click on the slide that you want the video to be on.

Step 6: Click on the "Insert" tab if you want to see a video.

Step 7: The video can be found on the Web site.

This will open the dialog box.

Step 8: Click in the text field inside the dialog box to paste.

Step 9: Click on that.

You will be able to use the YouTube video in your presentation.

Step 10: Go to the slide in the presentation that you want the video to be on.

Step 11: Click on the "Developer" tab to go to the control section.

This will open the dialog box.

Step 12: Click on "OK" if you want to select "Shockwave flash object".

A box that can be re-sized to fit a specific video will be displayed on the PowerPoint slide.

Step 13: Click on the box and drag to specify where you want the video to go.

Step 14: Click inside the box and select theProperties.

This will open the menu.

Step 15: You can find the video you want embedded in your presentation by launching your internet browser.

Step 16: Click on the video's URL in the address bar to copy it.

Step 17: The video's URL can be pasted into the text field next to the movie.

Step 18: If you want to change the value in the movie field, you have to remove the watch?v=” from the YouTube URL.

This will allow the video to be played in your presentation.

Step 19: Click on the "Slide Show" tab to close the Properties window.

Step 20: You can play from a current slide.

When you click on the slide, the video will start playing.

Step 21: If the video from the web site is not listed in the "Video" menu, you should install the latest Microsoft Office updates for PowerPoint 2010.

The following error message will be fixed by this step: "PowerPoint cannot insert a video from this embedded code."Go to Microsoft's website and click on the option to download the latest PowerPoint 2010 update.The latest Office updates can be installed using the Windows Update feature.

Step 22: If the "Video from Web site" option is disabled or grayed out, you should try installing Adobe Shockwave Player.

There is a requirement for this program to be used in PowerPoint 2010.Go to Adobe's website at https://get.adobe.com/shockwave and click on the download button.
