Trader Joe's recipe for Carne Asada with Pepper and Corn is perfect for tortillas.

Tasty, good flavor, very tender meat, off of high heat.To get the most tender texture, cut Trader Joe's Asada across the grain.

It would be easier to see the cooking directions if they were elaborated a bit.Not everyone will like the acidic taste of the meat. This is not a good product to try if you have a person in your household who doesn't like cilantro.

The verdict: For $8.49 per pound, you aren't getting a log of meat, which you might expect when you look at the packaging here.A bunch of thinly sliced sirloin steaks are what you get.If you don't have a lot of time to prepare, then this is a good option because they were seasoned and prepared well.

I won't cook my beef to 160F, that's too well done for my liking.

Would I buy it again?Trader Joe's Carne Asada is only a possibility for me.It was very delicious when it was off the pan.I stopped liking it when it cooled down.I avoided some of the meat on the salad. When it cooled down, the acidity grew.If you serve a bunch of people right away, this is a good choice. If you are cooking for more than one or two, you should break the package into separate bags and only prepare what you need. It's best to be fresh off the grill.

I wish we had a TJ closer. It is over an hour away. When we bought a bunch of shelf stable whipping cream, none of it was whipped and their customer service was less than helpful.Sad.Hope you have a great new year!!

Sorry to hear that.I also bought that product.I don't know if I'll have the same problem.I would leave feedback for them. They should know if there is a problem with their products.

When I needed something quick, I used to get this a lot.I agree that there isn't as much meat as one would expect, but I never noticed the acidity. The salad looks good.I like the meat with some rice and fruit.

I kept it short for the thinner pieces and longer for thicker ones.I wanted a medium cook.I hope that helps.

I love it!This is better than making my own.I like both the acidity and the cilantro taste.I usually just eat it on its own, even if I put it into flour tortillas.
