Granville Island isn’t really an island.It’s more of a peninsula.Apparently it was a sandbar way back when and over time got filled in and developed but still kept the “Island” name.
Granville Island, located in Vancouver’s False Creek is a shopping district and commercial zone for a number of marine businesses and a huge cement plant.It has a number of restaurants and a hotel.Directions: I’ll assume you are trying to get there from Richmond by public transit.
You can take the Skytrain Canada Line from Richmond to the Olympic Village Station.From there, get the #50 bus to ANDERSON ST and then walk into Granville Island.For specific times and stops, the Translink trip planner will help you out.
Otherwise, there are regular roads and bike lanes into Granville Island to get there by vehicle or bike.
Go down Granville st to 4th then turn right then left.
