Use a credit card.
PayPal is the most popular payment processing site in the world and currently provides service to over 200 million people in 200 different countries.You can create a free account in a matter of minutes if you think the service is right for you.
Step 1: You can sign up on the website.
Go to the homepage to create your account.The sign up button can be found on the upper righthand corner of the screen.You can access the home page at this link.
Step 2: Decide between a personal and business account.
You will be asked to choose between a personal and business account.Online shopping and exchanging money with friends and family can be done with a personal account.If you're setting up an account for multiple people from a single company, a business account is the better option.
Step 3: You need to set up your email and password.
You should link your e-mail address to your PayPal account if you don't already have one.You will need to set up a password.The email address you use is up to you.To get notifications about when your money comes through, make sure it's an address you use frequently.Make sure your password is secure because you will give it a lot of sensitive information.Use a combination of upper and lower case letters as well as numbers and special characters.There is a random string of numbers, letters, and special characters.It's generally better than a recognizable word.).
Step 4: Provide basic information.
You will be directed to a page asking for basic information after you set up your password.Provide information such as your name, address, and phone number.
Step 5: Pay with your bank or card.
Click the wallet link at the top of the page to link a card or bank.You can link a credit or debit card to your bank account from there.You need to enter the number for your card or account.
Step 6: If prompted, confirm your card or account.

Step 7: Money can be deposited.
Even if you don't have a bank account, you can still use your bank to make payments.Some people prefer to have their money in their account.Go to your account and click "Transfer Money."If you have a bank account linked to your account, you can transfer money to it.
Step 8: You can send money to other people.
It's easy to send money to someone if you owe it.Click the "Transfer Money" option if you want to transfer money.The amount and e-mail address of the person receiving the money are entered.Hit "Send."You need to use the correct e-mail address.The other person's email address should be the one you use for e-mail.
Step 9: You can make online purchases with PayPal.
At check out, many sites have a "Pay with PayPal" button.You don't have to enter the email address associated with your account to pay if you choose this button.It can be quicker than entering credit card information.
Step 10: You can transfer money to your bank account.
You can withdraw money from your account at any time.If you hit the "Transfer" button, your money will be deposited into your bank account.This takes a day.You can use a linked card to transfer money for a fee.Within 30 minutes, this form of transfer can be completed.
Step 11: If you use PayPal frequently, you should get a PayPal debit card.
A PayPal debit card is similar to a regular card in that it takes money from your account.If you need immediate access to your money, it's best.It's accepted anywhere that accepts cards, as well as most ATMs.If you use a PayPal card, you can withdraw up to $400 a day.
Step 12: If the payment is still pending, you should cancel it.
Click on the Summary page if you made a mistake with your payment.If the payment has already been accepted, contact the recipient to request a refund.
Step 13: You can give people the e-mail associated with your account.
If you want people to give you money, you need an e-mail address.Don't give people the e-mail address associated with your account if you want to receive money via PayPal.
Step 14: You can request money via PayPal.
You can use your account to send requests for money.To request money, click "Tools", then "Request Money."Enter the amount of money you want to receive and the person you're requesting it from.Click, "Request Money."If you need to remind someone that they owe you money, this is a good tool.If a friend borrows money from you, you can send them a reminder via PayPal.
Step 15: Send invoices by email.
You can easily invoice your hours if you do any kind of work.You can choose "Invoice" from the menu at the top of the page after hitting the "Request Money" tab.You fill out a form where you give details of the services you provided, your hours, rates, and the total amount owed.
Step 16: You can link the two with sites like eBay.
Most sites will allow you to link your account to your PayPal if you sell things online.Customers' money will be directed to your account when they make purchases.Every site has a different procedure for linking your account, but you usually just need to enter the e-mail associated with your PayPal and possibly some personal information.
Step 17: Fees will be deducted from most invoices and sales.
If you use PayPal as an online merchant or as a way to invoice an employer, the fee will be deducted from your final payment.If you want to get around this fee, you have to calculate it into your price or invoice.You will be charged the same fee if you transfer money between friends and family with a linked credit card.You won't be charged a fee if you use a linked bank account.For a full, detailed list of fees in all countries and for different kinds of companies, visit PayPal's fee page here.
Step 18: If your account is locked, contact PayPal.
Call or email customer service if you get a message that your account is locked.Before contacting them, log in.If you want to confirm that you own your account, you need to provide your phone number, email address, and bank statement.You can call either from the US at 1-888-221-1161 or from abroad at 1-402-935-2050.If you have a locked account, this is the best form of contact.You can email PayPal by going to this link and logging in.
Step 19: If your payment was declined, make sure that your card is correct.
Make sure you have the correct billing address.You can update it through your account.If that isn't the problem, check your wallet page.Clicking on the "Confirm Credit Card" link will confirm your card.If your card information has already been confirmed, make sure your recipient has confirmed their information and that their account is fully set up.You can change or add a new payment method to your account.Call your bank or card company if things don't go your way.Ask what you can do to send the payment through after it has been declined.
Step 20: If you forget your password, you can click on the "Have trouble logging in" option.
You will be asked to enter the email address used for your account.Select a method to recover your password.You can choose to receive a call, text, or email, answer a security question or confirm your account through Facebook Messenger.You can choose to be prompt differently based on your choice.Carefully follow the next steps to get into your account.You can call from the US at 1-888-221-1161 or from abroad at 1-402-935-2050.
Step 21: You can change your password by going to the Security tab.
After you confirm your current password, you will be asked to enter a new one twice.When you're done, click "Change Password"You can change your questions in the Security tab.Next to the security questions, click the "Edit" button.
Step 22: You should look out for online fraud.
If you are selling an item on the site, be aware of people who will pay you but not follow through.Stop communicating with the buyer if you see any red flags.The buyer saying they can't meet you in person or speak with you on the phone is a common warning sign.The buyer offered more money than you asked for.The buyer wants you to send the item or money to a shipping agent or Western Union.
Step 23: It is possible to recognize and report fake PayPal emails.
Before you click any of the links in the email, make sure it's legit.If the email says you have received a payment, check your account to see if it shows up.The payment and email are legit if it does.If not, forward the email to email@example.com.An email that says a payment is on hold until you complete a requested action is one of the red flags to watch out for.
