Vegetables can be frozen without Blanching.

Blanching vegetables is the process of quickly boiling them before freezing them.It might not be the best option for leafy greens and string beans to be blanched.To freeze leafy greens, chop them into small pieces and put them in a sealed plastic bag.If you want to freeze a lot of small vegetables, use a straw to suck the air out of your bag. Step 1: Chop your vegetables into smaller pieces. Use a sharp knife and a cutting board to cut up your leafy greens.The effects of blanched vegetables on flavor and color are mimicked by cutting them.There are leafy greens.As you chop your vegetables, be careful.To avoid an injury, keep your fingers tucked underneath your hand. A small gap for a straw can be left when the bag is sealed up almost all the way.Put your straw in the bag and suck the air out of your mouth.Since there is a lot of vegetables, there may be some air left in between them.You can use a vacuum to remove the air from your bags. Step 13: Put the bag in the freezer. Wrap the straw up all the way from the bag.Don't allow air to get back into the bag before you seal it up.The bag should have the name of the vegetable on it.You can put it in the freezer for up to 3 months.Vegetables can be left in the freezer for 4 months, but they may not taste as good.Don't thaw your vegetables before you use them.If you eat frozen vegetables raw, they may not be very good.
