I was thinking of attaching a sink spray hose to my faucet, but I am not sure if I need a fitting or not.I've tried to find out what the standard sizes are for faucet aerators, but I keep getting different answers. If I use a male-threaded bathroom faucet, can I have a list of the sizes?

There are different sizes of faucet aerator threads. You can see a picture of the thread gauge at a hardware store where aerator units are sold.I have experience with a USA hardware store.Depending on your geographical region, your situation may change.

One or two nations still cling to non-standard sizes based on the size of their current king's thumb or something similar, despite being recognised by the UN.

You can't mix them.If you want to mate a standard sized aerator with your 37/59ths-1734(T) widdershins faucet, don't.You may be able to get them to connect using your thumb-detector, but the removal may need the angle-grinder.
