What is Stock Dog Registry?
Stock Dog Registry Services was founded in 2016 to provide a pedigree verification process for dogs entering the American Kennel Club as Miniature American Shepherds (MAS) as well as registering litters for offspring of various crosses that wish to enter AKC.
Can mini Australian shepherds be registered?
In 2010, meetings began with AKC to include the Miniature Australian Shepherd and in 2011 they were accepted in to AKC under the new name "Miniature American Shepherds." And now, July 1, 2015, the Miniature American Shepherd is fully recognized as an American Kennel Club (AKC) Herding Breed.
Can a dog be AKC and ASDR registered?
Payment must be included with application. This registration is for a dog, who has parents from two different registries. (i.e. AKC/ASDR, APRI/MASCA). Dogs must be the same breed, but can be different size varieties, no mix breed dogs allowed.
Can I register my ASDR dog with CKC?
We also accept CKC and NAPR registrations WITH pedigree for dual registration, however if they are CKC or NAPR hardship registered dogs (foundation stock/unknown for parents) we will consider it a hardship registration and charge accordingly.
Can Australian shepherds be AKC registered?
What are the requirements for your dog to be eligible for AKC registration? A dog that is registered as an Australian Shepherd, regardless of the registry, can not apply for registration with AKC as a Miniature American Shepherd.
