Is there physics on the DAT?
The DAT contains sections on biology, general chemistry, and organic chemistry that require a substantial knowledge base. Therefore, we recommend that applicants take these courses prior to the exam. Physics and calculus are not required for the DAT, although both are required for admission to the DMD program.
What can I expect on the DAT day?
While taking the DAT, it is normal to feel nervous, but stay confident with your answers and move through questions in a timely manner. Following the Perceptual Ability Test (PAT), there will be a 15-minute (optional) break. On the computer screen, a digital timer will automatically count downwards from 15-minutes.
