If you do not pass the exam, call NASM's Member Services Department at 800-460-6276 to purchase a retest. Candidates who do not pass the certification exam on the first attempt will be allowed to retake the exam after a 1-week waiting period.
How many times can you take the personal trainer test?
Candidates can register online to retake the exam during the 90 day waiting period (please wait 4-5 business days after a failed exam before registering for a retake). There are no limits to the number of times a candidate may attempt an exam.
How many questions are on the NASM exam and what is the NASM Passing Score? There are 120 questions on the exam. 20 of those test questions are research questions that do not count for your final score.
