What is cura personalis, and what does it mean?

The respect for all that makes up each individual is what distinguishes cura personalis, which is Latin for care for the whole person. The body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body are one body, according to St. Paul.

Our talents, abilities, physical attributes, personality, desires, hearts, faith, and minds are all worthy of attention. The term cura personalis is used in Jesuit universities. Why?Their purpose goes beyond the head.cura personalis was a reminder to staff and patients that the hospital's mission was more than just the health of the body.

Our Christian faith should involve more than just head, heart, and soul.Physical and spiritual exercises are equally important.A good diet isn't as important as learning. As a way to care for our entire selves, we pray, learn, and eat healthy. Our minds and bodies are gifts from God.The epidemic of Obesity, the lack of religious involvement, and the high school dropout rates are all related.

After learning that he was not eating properly, St. Ignatius wrote a letter to the Jesuit ordering him to take better care of his body.He was told to look after his health and not preach for the next three months.

The Benedictines have a deep spirituality. The spiritual life needs a proper balance between work and prayer. You can't have one without the other.Body and soul are gifts from God.

cura personalis is a call for you and me to love ourselves and others, the gift of life from God given to us.

I would like to thank you for putting me on the right track.I assumedbody was talking about the church and members were the people in it.Thank you. That's right, XO.

What is easy is not easy to do.As freshly baked summer fruit tarts sit in the kitchen upstairs, I will only eat a modest portion and leave some on the plate.I am on a journey.I choose a new direction for my next fitness steps, smaller portions and giving up time wasters, even though I know I can't be perfect.I am participating in two new communities, one to address a personal spiritual awakening and the other to strengthen my physical fitness quest.

This reminds us to balance our body and soul.Nutrition is more important than calories in our diet.Good lifestyle and healthy eating.Carrying out God's work will be manageable if this is done.Thank you for sharing!

I did well on my retreat with only eating one meal a day and trying to avoid the sweets and too much caffeiene, but upon returning home I have had to practice more discipline because everyting is so readily available.I have to be careful because of the medication I am on and my body's weakness after taking it.Thank you for the article and God bless you.

God created a natural world for us to use.To walk in harmony. It gives us the ability to nourish and heal our bodies, to explore our minds, and to participate in His beautiful creation around us.To see and feel with our eyes.Del Gloria!

Thank you so much for sharing.I wrote a paper on this subject, but I didn't know it was called "cura personalis" or "Ignatian".
