The LCBO carries craft beer, but the selection varies pretty dramatically. For instance the Lansdowne location has a huge catalogue, and the Rideau Centre has almost none.My favorite craft brewery in Ottawa is Dominion City.
(Our Beer).Their storefront is a nice place to hang out and they (used to?)have live music.
Would recommend checking that one out, though it’s kind of confusing to get to (tucked back along a nowhere street in Beacon Hill). Two restaurants in Ottawa (both near Centretown) that feature craft beer: Flora Hall (Ottawa Brewery and Kitchen) Craft Beer Market (Craft Beer Market) Flora Hall is smaller and cozier, and Craft (in Lansdowne) is huge and can get pretty busy, but their beer catalogue is massive (though not all of it is local). Both have really good food.
If you’re going to Craft, go on a Sunday night.
Pretty much anywhere.at the Beer Storeat the LCBOat a brew pub such as the Clocktowermost regular pubs will serve one or more craft beers on tapHere’s my personal recommendation: Beyond the Pale at 250 City Centre Ave. just off Somerset.
Thanks for the A2A.While I am no expert on craft beer I have heard that CRAFT BEER MARKET – RESTAURANT + BAR 975 Bank Street, Ottawa, ON 613.422.7238 (613).422.7238is a good spot with a lot of interesting selections.
Many positive reviews.Give it a try and let us know.
Beyond the Pale – 250 City Centre.Great food too.
