Who has the best chicken sandwich in Toronto

The Brick Street Bakery, several locations in Toronto but the Distillery District is probably the best known. They make the Coronation Chicken Sandwich, that at $7.79 is a very good deal.In fact, it is hard to eat the whole thing in one sitting.

You end up eating half the sandwich and saving half for another time.Besides generous mounds of succulent chicken it has its killer ingredient, coronation sauce which includes curry with almonds and raisins, among other things between slices of freshly baked country bread.

The Big Slice, which used to be at Yonge near Dundas, served a chicken cacciatore sandwich that was the best I’ve ever eaten.I taught for years at Ryerson, and their chicken sandwich was my go-to before-class meal. The restaurant has moved to 1154 St Clair West, and I haven’t been to the new location.

I think you need to be more specific, but I will recommend the notorious, “CHICKEN PARMIGIANA PANINI” from Fusaro’s on Spadina (downtown Toronto).Your next best bet would be to check out Brock Sandwich on Bloor (Chicken Piri Piri pictured below), and I’ll give an honourable mention to Porchetta & Co on King St.
