Do you have to book the V and A museum?

For the best possible experience and to guarantee entry at a particular time, we recommend that Members book tickets to visit the permanent collection. For our special exhibitions, we recommend you pre-book a ticket to ensure you can see the exhibition at your preferred time.

How does the V&A make money?

The Fund is provided by Arts Council England Lottery funding and is managed by the V&A as part of its national work. The Fund, run by the V&A since 1881, retains an interest in the organisations and objects it supports and collections they join, and ensures that the terms of the grant offer continue to be met.

How much is it to get into the V and A?

Is V&A Dundee a charity?

V&A Dundee is itself a registered charity and needs to raise around a third of funds required annually from individuals, trusts and corporates so we are limited in what we can give away.

Do you have to pay for the Natural History museum?

Entry to the Museum remains free, but since we closed our doors we've been losing vital income. Donations will help us to continue welcoming visitors and connecting people to nature through inspiring stories and educational activities.

Do you have to pay to go to the British museum?

The British Museum is free to enter and includes access to its permanent galleries. Special exhibitions usually require a fee. Although this attraction is free to visit, you must book a timed entry ticket in advance.

How much does it cost to visit Victoria and Albert museum?

The entrance fee is free of charge as in all national museums in London. It is only asked to give a voluntary donation. This is usually done by some discreet donation boxes at the entrance and exit. Exhibitions and events are the exception as there may be an admission fee.
