"Why are the Pods so Slow?" is a question that has been asked by many.

There is a background-color that is important.

I tried to update the internet in the house. There were a few dead spots and an older modem.I was told to update the modem.I did that.I set up the modem and did a bunch of speed tests in the house. The dead spots were not as bad with the new modem. It was working great for the areas near the modem. The fun part is here.I began to install the Pods.I started to do a speed test after the modem was hooked up.The house was not getting over 50mbps max.Not next to the modem.Nothing worked when I tried many different configurations.I did a full reset on the modem. The modem's speed was only 45-50 max, but it was still a good test. The same thing, 45-50 max, was tried a second time.I'm getting more and more annoyed. After 2 long days, I bring the modem andpods back to xfinity. The modem is bad, and the guy has had many complaints about it.He gives me a new modem and asks if I want to try it again.WT#!No!The modem speed is back to where it was, but there are still dead spots.I'm stuck.I need to fix the dead spots, but I don't know if I can trust thepods again.Help me here.

This is where I am right now.In the dead spots, the modem's speed is a steady 350.I borrowed a Pod to try again.Anything that hooks into the Pod has a max speed of 50/60.I want to know why thepods are so slow.

Please help me out here. Why are they so slow?I get a max speed of 50/60 from the Pod.The Pods are capable of 200.As soon as I connect to a Pod 50/60 max, I get 350 from the modem. It doesn't matter where I put it.A lot of people have the same problem. This is not acceptable for what it costs to have your services.

The performance was slower than I had seen before. The xFi app didn't show connections through thepods when it was used, and the devices near the remote ones were still connecting directly to the router.

I am back to where I was before I removed thepods. If I'm in the same room with the computer, it's quicker to travel further away. It's a bad performance.I will be returning the Pods for credit.

The FAQ doesn't seem to talk about the question of why the xFi Pods are not useful, and how they can impede network speed for many users.

I agree. The same thing is happening to me.The modem area has a download speed of 300 plus.40 mbps from the Pods no matter where I put them.My download and upload speeds are almost the same.I think thepods are being metered. They are supposed to put around 200 Mbps.300 vs 40 is what I don't expect through the Pod.Come on!
