Why is it called a princess Diana piercing?

I have put on hold all piercing tours for the time being. There is a status page for COVID-19.I still do online piercing problem consults.

Princess Diana piercings are the same as the vertical clitoral hood piercing, except that they are located off to the side of the hood instead of being placed in the center. When they're done with a transman, I call them "Dukes".

Princess Diana had been in the news at the time, so we added "Princess" to give female royalty some exposure to the piercing world. It had been a long time since the Prince Albert had so much of it.

Ordinarily Princess Diana piercings are done in pairs; however, if you are asymmetrically built with more tissue on one side of your hood than the other, a single Diana could be a good option to celebrate your unique build.

If your hood is not symmetrical, a pair of these piercings will call attention to that, but not in a good way.A pair of Princess Dianas should have relative symmetry.

Dianas are usually at nine and three o'clock. They may need to go at eleven and one o'clock on a narrower build.

The Dianas are not as popular as the VCH due to the fact that many women don't have a wide enough hood. There is a VCH in the center and Princess Diana on either side of it.

Sometimes women ask if a poorly placed VCH can be fixed, but the answer is usually no.A VCH placed far off to one side might be able to be turned into a pair of Dianas by piercing the other side.

Straight or curved posts can work in this region and barbells in 14 or 12 gauge are the initial jewelry of choice.A curve gives a small amount of room.

The shape of the bar will affect the way the jewelry rests underneath the hood and against the clitoris.Straight bars may contact the clitoris more than a curve does.Personal preference can be your guide after healing, if you let comfort and safety take precedence.

If there isn't enough space for larger jewelry to fit comfortably in that location, smaller balls or threaded ends may be needed.

Under the hood is where I usually use the needle receiving tube. The piercings are done through the dots marked for placement and into the tube, which protects your clitoris underneath. The skin that is pierced is usually thinner than the earlobe.A small percentage of women have thicker hoods that are more sensitive to being pierced and can take a little longer to heal.

The most uncomfortable part of the procedure may be the preparation under your hood or the pressure from the receiving tube. The sensation of the piercing is very brief when performed correctly.By the time you are dressed, your piercings are likely to feel good, or at the very least, you notice something is there. It is normal to feel the same.

She made me less nervous with her warm personality and sense of humor. It was painless and quick.
