If you want to give your shot a little more power, try to ignore your instincts.To make the game more difficult, many carnivals overinflate the basketballs to make them bouncier, use oval-shaped hoops, and place the hoop a few feet higher and further back than the normal 3-pointer distance.Since most carnival basketball hoops only have a 2 inch (1.3 cm) margin of error, the only way to win is to gauge the distance and aim with perfect accuracy.Aim for the net and avoid shots that need to bounce off the rim in order to land in.Carnivals use sloped tarps and block off the base of the hoop so no one can stand under it and make the height difference obvious.
Step 2: The milk bottle game is won by hitting the center bottom bottle.

Some carnival employees let the air out of the balloons, which makes them harder to hit with a dart.Look over the board of balloons and see the balloons with the most air.The easiest to pop will be these.Before you play, it is a good idea to look out the board to see where the balloons are placed.The balloons that hold the good prize tags are usually placed on the outer edges.Try to hit the balloons at a 45 degree angle.
Step 4: The ring the bell game can be played with accuracy or strength.
Winning this game is dependent on hitting the center of the base.Hold the mallet up with your arms extended as you grip it with both hands.The mallet should be swung onto the base.The weight should ring the bell with strength and accuracy.If you want to be sure of how far away you are, do a couple of practice swings.This will show you where the center of the base will be.
Step 5: In the shoot-out game, shoot a circle around the star.
There are many ways in which this game can be rigged.If you shoot a circle around the star in the paper, you can win.The paper won't be torn away completely if people shoot directly at the star.
Step 6: The cover-the-spot game requires dropping metal discs.
Drop the first metal disc on the left side of the spot and it will go through the circle.Drop the second disc to the right of the first.To drop the third disc, move downward and to the left.Drop the fourth and fifth discs below the third one.Put your thumb and finger on the edge of the discs.
Step 7: Ring toss games are not a good idea.
These are very difficult to beat.The plastic ring you use to toss is a little bigger than the bottles.The game is difficult to win due to the ring bouncing off of the bottle.When you throw the ring toss, snap your wrist.The ring will be more stable because of this.
Step 8: It is possible to increase your chances at low-chance games by tossing correctly.
The basket or coin toss are so difficult that they often yield the same results as random-chance games.To decrease the ball's bounce, aim for the inside upper lip.For more accuracy, toss coins with a high spin.
Step 9: The baseball throw game has a radar gun.
The guns can be rigged to measure the throw's speed.A carnival radar gun was found to be about 15 mph too slow.Don't play this game because it's nearly impossible to prove in person.
Step 10: You have to have perfect balance to play the rope ladder game.
The rope ladder game is difficult to play.The ladder requires the same balance as scaling a single line of rope because it is secured by one point at either end.You will fall if you don't have perfect balance.If you want to win the game, use the outer ropes instead of holding the rungs.If you want to maintain your balance, you need to move your left arm and right foot at the same time.
Step 11: Avoid booths with large prizes.
Check the prizes around the booth first if you want to play to win.Huge stuffed animals or expensive prizes hanging around a game booth indicate that the game will be very difficult or nearly impossible to win.
Step 12: Don't think you'll win random-chance games.
The fishing game and the duck pond are fun to play, but you should not waste time or money trying to win.These games are impossible to master because they are based on random chance, even though you may be able to win them once in a while.
