Work with a washing machine.

The portable washing machines are ideal for apartments without built-in appliances. The way they wash and spin dry laundry is similar to fully automatic washing machines.Semi automatic washing machines require you to connect the hoses, add water, switch the clothes between the wash basin and the spin tub, and drain the machine every time you use it.The power cable and water hoses can easily reach an electrical outlet, a faucet, and a drain if you place your machine in a kitchen, laundry area, or bathroom.Soon you will have a clean load of laundry. Step 1: There is an electrical outlet near the sink. The washing machine has a power cord that needs to be connected to an electrical outlet. You can easily fill the washing machine with water if the outlet is near the sink. This is a good place to connect your semi automatic washing machine if you have a laundry sink nearby. You can plug it into an outlet in the bathroom or kitchen. Step 2: The laundry machine and a faucet need to be connected. The semi automatic washing machine comes with a wide and narrow end for the filling hose. The large compartment on the left side of the machine is where the filling hose should be pushed onto the water inlet. The filling hose should be over the faucet's tip.The washing machine has a filling hose. You might have to hold it in place under the faucet to fill the machine with water if it doesn't fit or stays on securely. Step 3: The machine has a draining hose. The draining hose is attached to the bottom of the machine and has an open end.You can place the hooked end over the edge of the sink to keep the water out of it.If you can't hook the hose over the drain, you will need to hold it in place during the steps that need draining water out of the machine. Step 4: You can fill the washing machine with water by turning on the tap. The tap should be turned on to the desired temperature.Let the faucet run until the wash basin fills up 1/3 of the way to the top, then turn off the tap.If you have the owner's manual, you can get specific recommendations about how much water to use for laundry. There could be markings on the inside of the wash basin.1/3 of the way full is a good amount of water for these types of machines. Step 5: If you want to add clothes, add detergent to the water. You can use powdered or liquid laundry detergent.According to the instructions on the detergent's packaging, pour in enough detergent for the amount of clothes you plan to wash directly into the water. If you are washing a medium-sized load with a liquid detergent, the manufacturer's instructions might tell you to add 1-2 capfuls of the detergent.detergents come with a measuring spoon Step 6: The detergent can be mixed in the wash basin. Make sure the machine setting dial is set to wash and then turn it on using the wash timer button.Depending on the model, the positions and settings of the different dial on a semi automatic washing machine can be different. They are located on the top of the machine and are easy to use. Step 7: You can put your laundry in the wash basin. The machine's capacity should not be exceeded by the weight of the laundry you are adding to wash.Carefully place the load of laundry into the soapy water and close the lid of the washing machine. If you don't know how much laundry you can put in the machine per load, you should check the owner's manual for the maximum weight it can wash.It is best to put in less laundry than the machine can do.If you want to make sure your load of laundry is safe, you can use a scale to weigh it or split it into smaller loads. Step 8: For a regular load of laundry, turn the wash timer dial to 6-9 minutes. If you want a slightly more thorough cleaning, turn the wash timer dial to 6 minutes and then 9 minutes. The wash cycle will begin with this.If the laundry is heavily dirty, such as athletic wear covered in dirt and sweat, you might want to wash it for 10 minutes. You don't want to wash it for less than 6 minutes. Step 9: The laundry can be moved from the wash basin to the spin tub. If you want to get to the smaller compartment on the right side of the machine, you have to open the lid.Place the laundry in the spin tub after removing it from the wash basin. After the laundry is inside, close the lid and replace any covers.Depending on your washing machine's model, the lid and cover over the spin compartment will vary. Some have 2 lids on hinges, while others have 1 top lid on a hinge and a cover in the spin tub, which holds the clothes inside the compartment. Step 10: The timer should be turned to 5 minutes. If you only want to rinse the laundry, you can set the spin cycle timer dial to 2 minutes, or 5 minutes. If you want to run it longer, you can turn the spin cycle dial to a higher number. If your machine only has a 5-minute timer, you can run multiple cycles to dry your laundry. Step 11: To rinse the laundry, run the tap for 2 minutes. As soon as you start the spin cycle, turn on the cold tap. After 2 minutes, rinse the laundry with clean water as it starts to spin. The water will leave the spin tub through the filling and draining hoses. Step 12: After the spin cycle is complete, hang dry your laundry. Take the laundry out of the spin tub and put it on a drying rack. The laundry should be completely dry before you put it away.Clothespins can be used to hang the laundry on the clothesline. Step 13: To empty the wash basin, turn the machine's setting dial to drain. The draining hose should be secured over the sink or aimed at another drain. If you want the machine to run while the dirty water is out of the wash basin, switch the setting dial to drain. When you are done draining, turn the dial back to wash.If you can't securely hook the drain hose in place, you might need to point it at a drain. Step 14: Put a towel in the wash basin and spin the tub. The washing machine has two compartments. Before you store the machine, wipe them out with a dry towel. The washing machine will be fresh and dry the next time you use it. Step 15: Put the machine away. Remove the filling hose from the faucet and the machine's water inlet.Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. You can keep the washing machine out of the way by storing it in a closet.Standard semi automatic washing machines are about 3 ft high and some compact models are even smaller, so they don't require a lot of storage space.
