You can use your mobile phone as a modem anytime, anywhere thanks to today's technology.Sharing your device's mobile data connection will allow another device to use that connection to surf the internet.
Step 1: Don't use your mobile data.
You can bring down the Notifications panel by touching the top of the screen with your finger.The Mobile Data icon has two arrows pointing in opposite directions.
Step 2: Go to settings.
The settings icon can be accessed from the app drawer.The icon looks like a gear.
Step 3: You can use the tap on Wireless and Networks.
The Network connections section is where to look if your settings don't show Wireless and Networks.
Step 4: You can tap on tethering and portable internet.
Step 5: There is a portable wi-fi hot spot.
If you see a check mark next to the box, you have successfully turned on the portable wi-fi hotspot.
Step 6: You can go to the menu.
From where you enabled it, tap on the portable wi-fi hot spot option.
Step 7: Allow all devices to connect.
Step 8: Which devices can be used to connect?
To control the number of devices that can connect to you, tap on the + icon at the top of the screen.The device name and address should be entered.Press OK.
Step 9: Go to the menu.
From where you enabled it, you can tap on the portable wi-fi hot spot option.
Step 10: Select the option that you want to use.
Step 11: Enter your preferred network name.
Simply type in your preferred network name when you tap on the Network SSID field.
Step 12: You can choose network security.
If you don't want to have a password for your hotspot, choose open from the security drop-down list.You can choose if you want to use a password.
Step 13: A password can be entered.
A password field will appear if you choose to protect your mobile hotspot.Go to the field and type in your password.Use the tap to save.
Step 14: You can turn on your other device's wi-fi.
The first icon in the Notification drop-down panel of your home screen is usually the wi-fi icon.
Step 15: From the list of networks, choose the name of the mobile hotspot.
If you choose the name of the mobile hotspot, you can go to the list of networks available.
Step 16: You have to type in the password.
Hit enter if the network requires a password.You should be able to use the internet.
Step 17: Check to see if there is a connection.
Go to any website and open your browser.The connection is successful if it loads.
