You should hold a cone.

A beautiful form of temporary tattoo art is the Mehndi. In the past 30 years, they have become popular in western cultures and originated from historic Indian culture. If you learn how to hold and apply the cone correctly, you will be able to create dazzling temporary tattoos for friends and family.

Step 1: Use your dominant hand to grasp the mehndi cone between your fingers.

The cone should be between your thumb and middle finger. The cone should be positioned like a writing utensil. The pressure on the cone should be controlled by your thumb.

Step 2: You should rest your wrist on a flat surface to steady the cone.

Having your wrist on a flat surface helps with control of the design and also helps keep your hand from tiring out. This way, you will get a better range of motion. If you are drawing a design on someone's body, you can ask them to lay their body part on a table or countertop to create a flat surface for you to work on.

Step 3: The cone needs to be squeezed with your thumb.

The amount and speed of the henna will be affected by the amount of pressure.Slowly increase the pressure until you get the amount that you want.Make sure the pressure is not on the top of the cone.

Step 4: In your dominant hand, hold the mehndi cone in your closed fist.

The pointed end should stay out of your fist and the rest of the cone should be hidden in your fingers. This should feel similar if you have held a piping bag before.

Step 5: With your other hand, steady your wrist.

This may help steady your arms if you have a table or countertop to lean on.By gripping your dominant wrist with your other hand, you can avoid shaky lines and relieve fatigue from your hand that is doing the work.

Step 6: Put pressure on the cone with your fist.

Less pressure means less henna.Try different pressures until you find one that works for you.If you start off slow, your fist can create a lot of pressure.

Step 7: When the cone is full hold it like a pencil.

You can apply less pressure to the cone if you grab it like a pencil. If the cone is full and you apply a lot of pressure, there is a chance that the henna will spill out of the back end.If you can't keep your cone closed, try using a rubber band or a clip.

Step 8: If the cone is not full, grab it like a bag.

If your cone is less than half full, it may be easier to grab it with a fist and push it to the bottom. The method will make it easier to get your henna out.

Step 9: The cone should be rolled down as you push the henna out.

Your cone will get less and less full as you draw.Roll the top down to push the rest of the cone toward the bottom.A clip can be used to hold the rolled section of the cone.
