How do you count 4 of a kind?

After playing out all the cards, both players score their hands and include the turn-up card as part of both hands. The turn-up is included in the dealer's crib.Again, points are scored for 15s, runs, and pairs; you can also score for a flush (all cards of the same suit) - see the cribbage scoring chart below. At the end of the game, both players may have enough points to win, and the right to score first will determine victory. The cribbage board's positions can be changed during the game, with first one player leading, then the other. When you are close enough to win, the trick is to be in the first scoring position.

A cribbage flush, unlike in poker, doesn't beat three of a kind if the four cards in your hand are of the same suit. You score five if the starter card is the same suit. You can't score a four-card flush in the crib because all five must be the same suit.Check to make sure the rules are being used. The American Cribbage Congress rules apply in an official tournament.

flushes are not scored in cribbage according to some sites. The American Cribbage Congress rules are the nearest thing to an official set of rules.

Two points are scored for a pair in cribbage, and six for one pair royal, that is, three cards of the same rank.3 different pairs are worth 2 points each.Double pair royal (four of a kind) scores 12 as there are 6 ways to pick two cards from four. The mathematicians love this game.

The cards that make 15 score two points each. You score 2 points for each of the 15 ways you can make it with your cards. There are 15 ways for 8-7-7-A to be made: the 8 and one 7, the other 7, and the 7-7-A.It gets 6 points for 15s and 2 for the pair of 7s.

If you have the Jack of the same suit as the starter card, you score 1 point.

We play cribbage twice a day.We just can't figure out the scoring dilema that we ran into today. The count was 22 and the last two cards were 5 and 6.My husband told me to hold 2, 3 and 4 in my hand.I ran a 3 point run after laying down the 4.It gets more difficult.I played the 3 which I thought gave me a 4 point run, then the 2 and the 1 for the 'Go'.For a total pegging score of 13 points.Should I have just laid down all three of my cards and taken only the 5 point run and the 'Go'?Was it correct for me to play one card at a time and score them the same way?I would have won the game if I had first counted and the points in my hand had taken me to the finish. We don't agree on my scoring.I can only play one card at a time.My husband thinks I should have laid all three cards at once. Thanks for your help.

You score for each card you play.In your example, you would have played the 4 and pegged 3 points for a 3-card run and one point for the go.You play the 3 and peg 4 points, and then the 2 for a further 5 points.Nice play!

The score was 22.The last card to be played was a 5 and 6.The opponent played a 4 for 3 points, a 3 for 4 point, and a 2 for 5 point game and scored 31 for 2 points.

If you reach 31 you will get two points and one point. It is only two points for reaching 31 and one for the Go.

The scenario outlined in the original poster is not possible. She was left with 3 cards (2, 3, and 4) and her husband was unable to play because he was out of cards.

He said GO after the last two cards were played. She played one card and her husband could only play two maximum cards, the 5 or 6.

This is the largest feasable value for 3 cards with a 5 and 6 and the total was 21.Her husband wouldn't say GO before she played one of her cards.

He said GO when she played the 4 after she didn't remember the exact sequence of cards.I believe the scenario now.

An ace in cribbage is only worth one.Never eleven. It can't be combined to form a run after the King.Hope that helps.

Only in this case can it be eleven. You can make it eleven on the initial count, but not after that.

Not sure what you're talking about. It is only worth 1 in cribbage. This isn't a game of blackjack.

That is an easy one.Since the score was 22, he couldn't play since he had a 10 value card in his hand.Simple...

I'm not sure if this is the actual rules, but my grandmother and I always play where you can't play more than one card in a turn, even if your opponent cannot.I think you deserved 14 points (2 points for 31+GO) and your husband should suck it up.

I have met many grandmothers who make up the rules as they go along. If a player says "Go" because they can't play a card that will get them to 31, the other player is required to play all the cards they have. They score points on their way.

The player and I are playing a game. They play an 8 28 and I play a 29They said "Go".I play a second ace for 30 points and my last one for 31 points. The 3-of-a-kind and 31 were mentioned.

You are correct that you played well. Most will miss the points if you have a disagrement on this play.

You played correct by one card at a time for the extended runs, but not the one point. It should have been 31 for two points.

I don't have any cards. My opponent has two cards. He played and said 10, then put down a 6 and finished with 16.Does my opponent get any points for ending the play at 16?I had no cards left when he started.

Do you get 31 for 2 and 1 for last card if you score thirty one on the last play?

If you play your 2nd to last card for 31 you will get 2 points. You can't include the 1 for last card if you play 31 cards. You don't get the 1 point for the last card.If the last card was played for 15 you would lose 1 point for that card.I don't think it's right that you should give up the 1 for the last card.I have been playing crib for 45 years and have taken 2 for 31 and 1 for the last card but haven't been challenged yet.It makes more sense that it is just lucky.Tks.

The official rules of the American Cribbage Congress do not allow more than 2 points to be taken for landing on a 31.A "last card" is a "Go".There is no separate point for a 'last card', just that it is a GO, and as such is scored on hitting 31 exactly, where the GO is already awarded to you plus a bonus point. You don't get another bonus point or GO because it is the last card played.Hope that helps!

You can only get two points.Getting one point for the 31 and one for a "Go" is what landing on 31 is about. The rules at www.cribbage.org say that you only get two points if you get the last card "Go" point.

The question was about the score for a triple run.It is always scored as 15 without any 15-2 counted, according to almost every cribbage rule book we have found.J has cut as Q.Why isn't this scored as 3 double runs or 24 points?

Three different ways, J-Q-K makes three runs.3 x 3 is 9 because it is a run of three.

There are 6 points from 2x3-card runs and a pair for 2 more in a double-run.You would have 9 card runs and a pair royal for the remaining 6 if you looked at the K, Q,Q,J - Q hand. You have to get one more for the nob.

Yep, 15.The admin is incorrect.9 points for three runs of 3, plus 6 for the 3-of-a-kind.

Your score would be nine if you had three runs of K-Q-J with 3 Qs.Hope that helps.

A triple run is counted as 15 and not 9.The runs are 9 and the trips are 6.It is more if you involve any 15's.The score is 21.

I'm not sure what the question is.You might have been asking about another hand. Not sure.

I discarded two of my hand.A 6 was cut in my crib. How many points is this?I scored four runs of three for 12 + 4 points for the two pair and 8 for 15s' for a total of 24.

When playing and counting your score, do you have 3 points or 4 points? No Around the world sequience was the way I was taught. The offecal sequience is laid.
