Ensuring your warm beverage is at its perfect drinking temperature from the first sip to the last drop is one of the best practices for getting the most out of your Ember's battery life.

If you don't have a charging coaster, you can expect a 1.5 hour battery life with the Ember Mug2, 10 oz or 80 minutes, at a target temperature of 135F (57C).

If you don't have a charging coaster, you can expect a battery life of about three hours.

There are a number of factors that can affect the battery life of the Ember Mug, including pour temperature, ambient temperature and desired temperature.

The most important factor affecting battery life is whether the lid is on or off.The power consumption is double when the lid is off.

The battery of the Ember will drain much faster if it is being used to heat up cold or room temperature liquids instead of pouring them in that are hotter than the preferred temperature.

If the drink temperature drops below the set temperature, the batteries need to work harder to increase the temperature in order to prolong the battery life.

The temperature to drink tea or coffee is between 130 and 135F.More power from the heaters is required for any higher. It will allow for a slightly longer battery life if you drink lower than 130F.

As you drink your beverage, the battery will not need to be worked on to maintain the temperature. It will take more battery to keep a full 8 oz beverage hot the entire time, rather than a beverage that decreases over time.

The cooler the environment, the harder it is to maintain the set temperature.

The app will let you know when your Ember is about to run out of battery and stop heating. If you are still enjoying your perfect temperature beverage, but your battery is about to run out, simply place the Ember on the Charging Coaster and it will continue to maintain your preferred temperature.

As long as the battery temperature is below the regulated max charge temperature, it will charge even if the mug is heating liquid. This is a battery safety setting to make sure the battery doesn't get too hot when you leave it on the charger for a long period of time.

If you want to charge your mug, place it on the charging coaster. When fully charged and ready to use, the Ember Travel Mug2 will display a battery indicator on the display. When the Ember Mug2 is fully charged and ready to use, it will display a red light. The exact battery life of the Ember can be viewed in the settings section. The battery can take up to two hours to fully charge.

It's safe to keep the Ember on the charge when you're not using it.The charging is shut off when the battery is fully charged.Maintenance charging means that if you leave the coaster for a long period of time, the battery will self-discharge and no harm will be done.
