How To Access a Shared Folder on PC or Mac
You can learn how to access a shared network folder on your Windows or macOS network.
Step 1: Click the Network icon again.
It is on the desktop.Click the Network button on the left side of the window if you don't see it.
Step 2: Click the folder you want to access.
You might have to wait a while for the computer to show up.
Step 3: You have to sign in to the computer.
Click if you are prompted to sign in.There is a list of shared folders.
Step 4: Click on the shared folder.
The contents of that folder will be accessible.
Step 5: You can click on the Go menu.
It is on the top of the screen.
Step 6: Click to connect.
It is at the bottom of the menu.
Step 7: The server that hosts the folder has to be entered.
Depending on your network, this may be an internet protocol address or host name.Click one time to select the server if you see it listed.
Step 8: You can click to connect.
Step 9: You have to sign in to the server.
Click if you are prompted to sign in.There is a list of shared folders.
Step 10: Click the shared folder again.
The contents of that folder will now be accessible.
