If you already have a Yahoo account, your inbox can get jammed.Between personal e-mails from friends, promotions, newsletters, and work, it can be a lot to take.You can add an additional e-mail address to your existing account.You can do this in a few minutes and get some order to your Yahoo e-mail inbox.It's ideal for people who want to separate their work and personal e-mail addresses.
Step 1: Go to www and open your browser.
Step 2: Sign in.
This will take you to the main Yahoo page.The purple button is at the top of the screen.You will be asked for your Yahoo ID and password on the new page.Click on each box to enter the information.Click on "sign in" to continue.
Step 3: Go to settings.
You can see the right side of the screen on the main Yahoo Mail page.Clicking on "Settings" will open a new window.
Step 4: Click on it to open an account.
Below the settings page is a list of sub-menus and the third one isAccounts, which is down from the top.The new sub-menu will be to the right of the accounts.There is an "Add" button across from the "Extra email address" option.You can add a new e-mail address by clicking on the Add button.
Step 5: To set up to receive emails, put a check mark next to it.
You will want to send mail from the new address.If you don't put a check mark next to "Set up to receive emails" as soon as the box pops up, the options will not be there.
Step 6: The appropriate information should be entered for each box.
The sender's name is the first box.You will enter the name you want others to see in this box.If you want to change it from your default name, click on the box and type in your desired name."E-mail address" is the next line.This is the email address you want to use.It should be formatted like this (new email)@Yahoo.com.When you enter your new e-mail address, you will be able to adjust it with the help of your usernames.Below your e-mail address is a description.You can use either "Work" or "Online Gaming" as an example, so if that is good for you, feel free to skip that box.You have to use a new password.This is the password for your new account.Click on the box and enter the new password.There is a reply to address below the Password box.If you choose, you can reply from your Yahoo e-mail address.Leave your default e-mail address in the box if that is okay.The last box is called "Deliver e-mail to." This will dictate which one of your folders you want the new address to be routed to.A drop-down menu will appear if you click on it.You can choose from a list.
Step 7: Save
Make sure everything is correct when you are done.You can save your information by clicking the blue button at the bottom.You have created a new e-mail address.
